    Btw this scene mocking the Midnight Express original made me choke- I laughed so hard.
    A lot of people don't like Carey for whatever reasons, but it's scenes like this one and the one in Ace Ventura when the rhino shit him out that I found flat out hilarious.
    He was great in The Mask, too...a role no one else but he could handle.

    Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek (I thought the photo of her below was a dude) has signed legislation permanently eliminating the state's requirement that high school students demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and math to earn a diploma.

    Supporters say the change will help remove barriers that have disproportionately affected students of color and other underserved groups. Critics argue it lowers academic standards and could leave graduates less prepared for college, careers, and everyday life.

    So they'll have a diploma but not the education needed to succeed in the real world.

    This is such the Democrat way. Make it look like you're doing something for the "underprivileged," thereby buying their allegiance, but make sure they don't have the tools to no longer be underprivileged so that they can continue to be bought and manipulated. Quite brilliant.

    On Thursday, LA times long-time reporter, Bill Plaschke, called the Los Angeles Dodgers "tone deaf," and considered them accepting the invitation to the White House to celebrate their World Series championship, "an insult to their fans."

    From the outset of this virtue signaling piece, Plaschke paints accepting the invitation as an insult to the Dodgers' largely Hispanic fan base.
