i used to be a guy who would drive into the paint and always go up and into the defense to try to get tough layups
but then the achilles went bad and i had to rely more on my midrange game and floaters and all kinds of janky shit
then my back started to fuck up and really couldnt risk going anywhere near the paint even on floaters and shit so i had to finally push myself to becoming a decent outside shooter
once i started keeping the ball up high and initiating my shot faster it was easier to surprise people with long jumpers
before that i was always obsessed with shooting with the right form
all that got me was to be super streaky with my shot going to shit if there was something off with my form for whatever reason

my point is the nba is aging too
but maybe luka is its phoenix and the league changes to something more palatable to the demographic that buys expensive seats and expensive drinks
and why adam silver sent him to the lakers
not for basketball reasons but for nba league revenue reasons
because the nba needs los angeles to have a superstar
everyone knows lebron is kareem abdul jablunt at this stage
now hopefully they got some of kobes german adrenachrome left over for lukas chronically bad achilles

comparing Magic to mebron in any way is weird to me

We root for laundry at the end of the day and they wear so many different uniforms, with no regard for home/away, that it doesn't look like the NBA to me.

i grew up in the generation in between the one you are talking about so i found the change in uniform styles exciting
and change was happening faster and more often than in your age
but then i got old and all the new changes came on too fast it it all got silly to me
i stopped watching religiously and became a casual fan

most of the older people hated Kobe and loved Shaq and took his side
but most people still here eventually got over their love for Shaq and become Kobe lovers
