Speaking of Gordon, the one who plays second base for the BB team, WTF was he doing on that play at 3B last night? The Mets announcers really went at him for showing up Bundy...they all said that can't be done, ever. I don't think Bundy is great, but don't publically show the guy up.
There was a clip, where Lopes was talking to him after the inning ended, Dee tried to walk away, and Lopes grabbed his arm and pulled him back as if to say "I'm not done talking to you yet".
Whatever it all was, it didn't look good. The team has enough problems without stupid shit like this and ear biting in the minors.
    Fucking jerkoffs.
Must have been a full moon or some shit.

    i somehow missed this
    inexcusable
you cannot disrespect your leaders/peers for all to see
dbb should have yanked dee's punk ass from the game -- right then and there
it was a time to send a message, to show who is in control once and for all
but no, a "player's manager" can't do that
and so the lunatics clearly run this asylum
what mattingly apparently doesn't understand, by not disciplining dee, he's lost a lot of respect from his coaching staff and players, and (with no discipline/consequence) he's also invited this type of thing to happen again
what's next, somebody biting someone's ear off?
    idiot
    :mattingly:

I really didn't like that from Gordon. I hope he was joking when he did that, but if he wasn't, that was really stupid. Bundy has made some mistakes, but you don't call him out when you getting thrown out at third was your fault. Totally disrespectful.

He was tagged out at third and blamed the third base coach. Lopes came out and told him something before he went back out for their defensive inning.

Dee is already crashing back to earth. 13 for his last 66, a .197 average in his last 15 games. That is another reason I am so pissed with Olivo; it was getting to the point where it is time to give Guerrero his shot.
Dee is garbage, and the fluke month/month and a half won't change that

It is not hating to point out facts.
I have been a Dodger fan longer than you have been alive and blind hero worship does not make you a fan

By the way, Dee is actually 12 for his last 67 in 16 games, a .179 average. Combine that with him hitting .234 in 2013 and .228 in 2012 and how can you realistically expect him to continue to perform as he did to start the season.

Maybe he has made adjustments to his game? It's not like he wasn't a highly regarded prospect 4 years ago

I can understand questioning him a bit, but he's still played great in general this year, give him a chance.

I mean 25 stolen bases at this point is no joke

People can feel whatever way they want about a player, but I don't think he's "garbage" by any means. If he did something punk-ass, then he needs to be taken down a peg by his manager, who don't have enough balls to do it in a million years-Irish was right.
But this guy has been playing a nice second base, especially when we needed someone in a crisis situation.
Behavior like his is wrong, but it's funny how big heroes like Yasiel get a fucking pass on pretty much anything they do, even endangering innocent people's lives, because they hit HRs and shit.
The Golden Age of Hypocrisy lives on....and flourishes.

    nah
the thread wasn't about him as a player
but him showing up his 3rd base coach in front of everyone
    bush move
    still... everyone makes mistakes
i love what he's brought so far
his defense at 2b has been an unexpected surprise
he's slumping now offensively but i love that he seems to have embraced what wills has been preaching (bunting more, hitting the ball on the ground)

i'm actually happy Dee is going through his struggles right now. for 1) maybe somebody other than his partner Puig will step up..namely Hanley and Kemp. Hanley's supposed to motor this team, not Dee. and 2) he needs to go through what Puig went through when pitchers made adjustments to him last year..he needs to make his own adjustments to opposing pitcher's adjustments and put it all in the memory bank and use it as experience.

On a side note, where is the internal leadership on this roster? DBB is on the hook for this as well but at this point in these forums trashing him is getting tired. What about Agon, Hanley, Kemp.......anyone, stepping up and being a leader on this squad. Managers don't separate the winners from the losers but players do.
