Into season 3 of Yellowstone ... this scene is why I kept watching. Cole Hauser just owns this character. I'm afraid he'll be typecast forever too ....

I guarantee we all know at least one woman like Mia ...

    rip is a great character
would be easy for him to get typecast, especially with the dutton ranch spinoff looming
but with so many streaming services making their own shows/movies it's a lot easier for actors to transition (no tranny) into different roles/characters
i mean i don't necessarily see him going the leslie nielsen route, but i don't think he'll be bob denver 2.0 either

and yeah mia is a piece of work lol

I haven't watched all of Sheridan's shows yet, but at some point I'm likely to. The Yellowstone universe has been great, including the prequels, and Landman is just as good. For series that are fictional, there's an air of authenticity in them that somehow makes them really relatable.

Landman, for most of the second season, left me flat. Like Billy Bob, but couldn't absolutely stand his wife and daughter...and BB's character kowtowing top them both with their whorish and egomaniacal personalities. They both look like they are headed for a change to come.
I thought Sam Elliot , Andy Garcia and Sam's physical therapist who came on board late saved it, That 2nd season anyway. Demi Morre looks kind of.like a cadaver, sadly... and was distracting.
BB had some blow your mind scenes scattered throughout, as only he can.
I look for a stronger third season.
All the otner ones are really entertaining.

Agree completely... those women are intolerable.

    But I'd hit it.

Somehow I never saw Breakdown (1997) with Kurt Russell until last night.
    Loved it.
    Perfect 90 minute thriller.
The first act especially reminded me of a Hitchcock film.

yeah i think ibleedblue suggested it in a game thread. i enjoyed it for the first 7? shows or so and then it became too implausible. i realize its better if you can suspend reason and it becomes more enjoyable. good actors but i just found myself slipping w the story line as it progressed. might revisit it. had some thoughtful life anecdotes from the main character i enjoyed. be curious how you digest it.

    3 episodes in
like it but i’m wondering how they could keep running the same gag over and over and keep it interesting/new
    acting is solid though
    we’ll see

I'm also 3 episodes in and was wondering the exact same thing.

Wife wants me to start The Pitt with her, so YFAN will probably get a pause for a while.

The Pitt is ER on roids, plus a "healthy" dose of "COVID happened & blame Trump" underneath the surface.

If it's on HBO ... I'm 90% likely to not like it. Sorry. Hope you enjoy it though.

forget what it was about The Pitt but i couldn't make it through the first episode. think there was some instant virtue signals iirc. hard to get past those for me.

however i thought the Earth Wind and Fire documentary was excellent. of course i have a great love of that music as well as Maurice White who's my favorite celebrity encounter. as good as it is i had to hold my nose when the obamas commented. they pop up way more than necessary but fortunately for a short comments. definitely wasn't enough to ruin the overall film for me and it gives credit to the vision of Maurice White while ultimately giving a much less flattering glimpse of his personal and business relationships.

Noah Wyle is a capable actor & tge production level is top notch. But the agenda is clear.

I watch Emergency! reruns anyway. Squad 51, Engine 51... house fire, see the woman.
