    MLB Network to air Vin Scully's final game at Dodger Stadium

    As things currently stand, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be playing baseball in October. The club hasn’t technically clinched a playoff spot just yet, but the team holds a five game lead in the National League West with just 11 games left to play. While making the playoffs is significant, the club will enter October without one of its most legendary icons.

    As every baseball fan already knows, Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully is in his final season as the team’s announcer. After 67 seasons with the organization, Scully will retire from the booth after the 2016 season.

    That time is nearly upon us. With just a few weeks left in the regular season, Scully is quickly approaching his final game as a broadcaster. As part of the celebration of his exceptional career, MLB Network wants to make sure fans can enjoy Scully one more time before he enters retirement.

    The network will air Scully’s final game at Dodgers Stadium. The contest, which takes place Sunday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. ET, will be simulcast on MLB Network. The Dodgers will take on the Colorado Rockies.

    Due to blackout restrictions, the network cannot air the game in the Rockies’ and Dodgers’ home television territories. Local fans will still be able to enjoy the game through the usual channels, though.

    With Scully’s career winding down, the broadcast presents fans with the opportunity to celebrate his legendary career one final time. Fans have no doubt read thousands of words on Scully’s impact and legacy in the game this season. This broadcast presents those who don’t usually get to experience Scully in the booth an opportunity to hear him one more time.

    Nice that they're airing the game on KTLA but the fact every single first ad slot is filled with an ad saying that subscribing to Spectrum is the ONLY way to NOT MISS any Dodger memories would indicate that no deal is imminent.

    Blaming the Dodgers is insane. They were offered a ridiculous deal that TWC never completely thought through and they took it, like ANYONE in their right mind would have. You'd think after getting a big fat FU from the other providers over the Lakers deal would have told them something? Their only choices now are to offer it as a separate premium to the others and/or charge their own subscribers, which would be fucked up. I only left Dish to get the Dodgers so if they did go that route, I'd shitcan them in a heartbeat and pay the $5 or whatever extra to Dish.

    at the end of the day the dodgers is a business
    and the nerds made a shrewd business deal that benefited them greatly
    not their responsibility to make sure time warner or anyone else got a fair deal
    twc should quit their bitching and just cut a deal with direct tv et al
    i mean, some income would be better than none right?
    and they have zero leverage going forward in getting a deal struck
    just sucks that the fans are the ones suffering from their lack of vision

    Judging by the numbers it seems as though TWC was afraid to lose them and negotiated with Walter the same way the same way he bought the team from McCourt......like pussies.
