Very happy to be a fan of the team who is ruining baseball.

Yamamoto enters the pantheon of Dodger postseason pitching immortals along side Sandy and Orel. Wonder how you say huevos grandes in Japanese?

Well done by everyone who took the mound, including the kids (Wrobo and Sheehan). Snell shook off a couple of subpar starts to get 4 outs. They all had to pitch their way out of jams most of the night. Toronto was 3-17 with RSIP.

Dodgers survived a 1-11 RSIP stinker. Those solo HRs came in handy. Thought Max would run into one eventually. Will never forget the Miggy Ro HR. I know Will's was the game winner, but that the veteran utility IF tied it up was just too cool.

The Pages play defied description. He made road kill of Kike making that catch.

Dodgers went through quite the gauntlet to win this one. Winning two in Philly, two more in Milwaukee and three in Toronto. Three quality opponents. Nothing but respect for the Blue Jays (Springer and Scherzer the exceptions) and until last night, Gimenez. Tries to get hit, then takes offense when he gets hit. Scherzer pounds his chest coming off the mound. Fuck off. You went 4.1 innings.

    It's just another perfect day.

Worth mentioning about this worthy opponent, is the fact that the Jays bp pitchers all wore No. 51 on their caps, in honor of Alex Vesia.
    Now that's class.
    Mad respect.
( If this is old news...apologies. There's always a Johnny come lately.)

On the whole Jay team, I don't like Springer ( of course ), cowardly " tired arm" Scherzer, self imposed badass Kirk, and now Giminez. Scummy Giminez who blatantly tried to get hbp, and then did. I cheerred loudly and openly when that happened, ad Wrobo is now elevated to Drysdaleish neighborhood for me. I have learned to read lips fairly well as a diminished hearing geriatric, and Wrobo called him a " motherfucker" and something else. I was too estaticly cheering to notice the rest of his phrase. But that was the good part, anyway.
Like Wrobo...he's no Polish Pussy that's for sure.

    So many heroes this series.

Yoshinobu was an absolute machine. Just oil his parts over night and fire him up again next day.

Rojas was in the game to do all the little things right, but in the end he did a critically needed big thing right.

Mookie, not contributing (much) at the plate, but his glove work made the transition to short pay off.

Klein's role was limited to one game, but without his gutsy four innings the series doesn't go past game 5. I'll never forget the elation on his face when that game was won, and again holding the trophy yesterday.

How about Wrobleski? Left off the roster for the earlier series, but joined for the WS and only threw 5 shutout innings over four appearances. 6 K's, zero walks.

Will Smith played every inning of every game in the crouch, including the marathon and last night's extra innings, and still was able to muscle up the game winner.

And Pages. Kike maybe makes an over the shoulder catch, maybe not, but Andy covered so much ground in those few seconds to make sure we didn't have to find out.

I could go on and on, but you get the point.

Ithink we have an OF WS catch to rival Willie's in '54 against Cleveland.
    And NO, I wasn't there.

    Indeed.
And more than ever, better to be lucky than good.
And he'll go into the Hall because ofhis 3 WS wins.
They won't mention he could have at least 5. Not even counting the Astro abomination that bb just refused to punish as a team, just the semen covered scapegoat manager.
Pete Rose must have projectile vomited when that happened.

many respected sources calling it the best world series they’ve ever seen, only makes it that much sweeter

so many wonderful moments, but none better than watching kersh sprint in from the bullpen with tears in his eyes

so much respect for the jays, and i can’t even put it words how wonderful it was for them to honor vesia

yama, miggy ro, max, will and pages… you have all earned your places in WS history

will klein… even though roberts evidently forgot you were on the roster before and after game three, we will never forget your epic performance

and lastly (at least for now) wrobo… i love what he had to say about the HBP incident, and fortunately i was able to find the video HERE

    almost forgot… mookie
after all the criticism you received from your ill-advised travel to japan while sick, subsequent illness and weight loss, season long hitting struggles, and (what many — myself included — viewed as selfish) move to shortstop… it was only right that one of the greatest WS ever ended with the ball hit to you

I woke up this morning having lost my voice. What a surreal night - I had another halloween party to attend but I ended up skipping out because of how this game had me glued. Greatest game I have ever seen in any sport. Goosebumps all around. This will forever be my favorite Dodgers team ever.

Still basking in the afterglow of what seemed as an impossible task, yet they pulled it out. The Dodgers were very pedestrian all year long and the playoffs were no exception. They did just enough in each series to repeat.

I, like all of you, will never forget this series. Beating the Spankees last year was great, but winning the way they did to go back to back will always be my favorite.
