Very difficult to accept this fucking guy King's pitching like this...his ball is moving more than Treinen. Unbelievable.

Can't think of any pitcher who has totally dominated the team to the degree of this turd.

bum is not making a single mistake, his misses are good misses, leaving nothing in the middle of the plate. throwing shit on the edge more often than not, and has absolutely sick movement on his changeup, sinker, and slider

It's me, I'm sure, but when you come off two sweeps, one of them the Braves ( best team in MLB says ESPN), and the you lose to SD after a wonderful effort by your ace...given the embarrassing results of last year's playoffs, along with this year's final scores against SD, it does seem there is some kind of " thing" building up head to head with them we can't penetrate no matter what level baseball we play.
And there is a very good chance we face them when it really counts six months down the road...given our miserable past history in recent post seasons , we need to break this spell and put it to bed.

Agree. Best game I've seen pitched against this team in years. Fucker was lights out.

 

About King last night, I'm not convinced he wasn't using some type of sticky substance lol. I haven't seen him pitch enough to know if that type of movement from him is typical.

The movement on everything was wild and though his control was spotty at times, he looked like he was able to command most pitches pretty well.

I think it's clear he was jazzed up for this series since it is the World Series for the Pads. Dude was likely going max effort on every pitch. If he is able to come with that kind of stuff consistently, dude would be a perennial Cy Young candidate.

 

Dodgers shelled him the two other times they faced him this year. There wasn’t much deviation from his spin rates this season but it still looked weird

Really exceptional game by Paxton, and the defense is impressive. Any way you wn a ball game is the good way, but really unless it's a group of walks followed by a long ball, or a long ball alone, we just aren't clicking up there.
I guess SD pitching is that damn good. Against us anyway, but others, too.
A W we needed, imo, not standing- wise or anything, but we've gotta show this team something.
