What kind of bothers me about this is that we tried to trade him at the deadline only for Kuroda to exercise his no trade clause, and now he just goes and signs with them?
Funny thing is too, the ESPN braintrust that are the Yankee fans commenting on ESPN.com are blasting the move, saying that they overpaid for Kuroda and using the same old "he pitched in the NL West" arguments. Idiots.

He's going to suck. He's in decline, he's moving from the NL West to the AL East and more importantly from DS to YS. He still would've been a better signing than the mediocrity we did get, but I dont think he'll be missed much.
thank ned for that. he decided to get scrubs so kuroda just went out and signed with the team that reached out to him. ned most likely didn't even give him a call.
Exactly...astute post here, PB. If he would have been a good teammate in the mold of Fookie...who knows? Look at Fookie....did what his team asked, and wound up on a WS Champ! And they're right....he will get clocked sooner or later in the AL, and they did overpay for him, just like we did every fucking year he was on our roster. The guy must be born under a lucky star. Less than 40 wins in 4 seasons for 51+ million? Sorry, I forgot about W/L not mattering. But I do hope he fails on the NYY...he will probably get 15 million next year for his usual 9/10 wins and losing record. We'll see what the big bats do for him.
