So Kershaw averaged 94 on his FB yesterday and hit 96.2. Ends the year with 8.4 rWAR and 7 fWAR Scary part. He can still improve and get better
Sad fucking performance; they shot their wad yesterday I guess, and it's right back to a bunch of lameass finooks as usual. Couldn't even get a run or two for Greinke so he could get his 16th. They sure don't look like a playoff team in this one. BTW, I want to compliment DBB on putting AJ in the 2 hole...just genius.Boggles the mind. Watch Belisario give it up like a bitch in heat.
Gotta agree with this. Last 6 games against playoff teams we've lost 5. Our offense is putrid. No consistency. I may be pumped for the playoffs but hardly optimistic (granted, I'm pessimistic by nature) with this horrible month of September. I don't believe that you can flip a switch.
Also, the pirates will now pass us in W-L so any potential NLCS with them we surrender home field. Good tune up for Paco at least.
If the pirates and us make it to the nlcs we would get the homefield by virtue of winning our division regardless of record
Lol Steve Lyons keeping it real. This offense and health is putrid and Don is scared too but won't admit it.
Certainly never heard anything resembling "the offense is back" from me. That sounds like narrative. The offense has been inconsistent for a while and I've held that sentiment for several weeks. The pitching is good and the offense isn't worthy of the word "good". Simple.
But hey, maybe they hit a dozen hard line drives right at guys. I didn't have the pleasure of being able to see the game. But the score...and 3 hits? Sums up our September. Inconsistency and inability to score on a regular basis. I guess everyone will flip the switch.
