if correia doesn't go 0-2 to 3-2, he doesn't have to lay one over the middle of the plate. idiot can't hit a corner to save his fucking life
Yeah Correia sucked and what not but how do you let JP only go for one out in a tied game? Gets to face only two batters And the bullshit of lot using your closer in a tied game on the road is soooo annoying. JP and Kenley combine to face two hitters in a tight game. Sure maybe it's annoying to complain in a random August game, but you know that shit will happen later on also. I can get mad at Correia but Correia is who he is, it's more frustrating to lose like this then lose with your best
Pretty much what I was gonna say, Jansen should have pitched in at least the 10th or 11th, pushing everyone back one inning. Will never understand this concept of using your worst pitcher in hopes of prolonging a game, rather than your best.
It makes no god damn sense to me. You're essentially saving your best reliever for a situation where the reliever has the most wiggle room to be bad, sense he could essentially give up a run and the game goes on whereas putting in an inferior reliever in a situation where any run they give up and game over. I know that's a confusing way to put this but it's fucking idiotic And like I said maybe I'm getting too mad about a game in August but last October we saw Michael Young replace Adrian Gonzalez in a tight game so these are the times when it fuckkng kills me to have Mattingly and makes me fear for the postseason
he could have pitched JP longer than 1 out or Wilson or Baez longer than 1 inning or Frias hell, even League more than 1 inning. He went thru way too many relievers and he was forced to put in the worst player on the team
we're getting swept by the Nats. it's coming. Hanley is so fucking injury prone..not a fucking chance do you give him more than a qualifying offer
I still don't know how you bat the hottest hitter on the team in the 7 spot, and behind a almost useless Ethier. I mean if you move this guy up, he's driving in runs maybe with Hanley...why buried in front of a .190 hitter ? Don't get it at all, especially against the the greatest pitcher of all time evidently, the previously 2-6 Cashen. Haren deserved a way better fate than that for sure, and it might have been the worst throw by Dee that I have ever seen in MLB. And some of his AB were pretty bad , too...and Haren's failure to even get down a bunt cost the team, and him, a run. If this is the way we play now, along with a vanishing Puig, we have trouble, right here in River City...along with what I think now can officially be termed the 's' word about the Giants. Let's call a spade. It's in our hands, our fate, if there is a time to get frosty, it's now. It occured that we have some really bad players for a first place team. I mean just roster spots, that contribute little or nothing.
the fact that the Giants are breathing down the Dodgers' necks WITHOUT an effective Matt Cain, and WITHOUT an effective Lincecum, says enough. we need new life and we need it right now. Pederson up. Guerrero up. Urias up. Ethier and Rojas..fuck outta my face.
i've seen him do that in the past as well, but i still saw the report on MLB Network yesterday, so there you go.
there's also this - so Mattingly acknowledges that it's not his call and that's good because he's Donnie Dum Dum.
If it's Ned's call, it's even less likely, we all know he loves old guys. We've seen at least a dozen NRIs make the team in the last few years.
The farm director said Urias was AA ready even when he was in low-A, but because of his age, they didn't want to move him up, which would make it really weird if they called him all the way up.
The reason the Giants are breathing down our necks is because Bochy is better manager than DBB and arguably the best in the majors.
