I know everyone loves to hate on Hamilton, but he's one of my favorite players. I'd love to have him.
We need a guy like Hamilton to boost morale and relevance in the city and organization. We have to do something to prove new owners=real change. Prove to the other NL West teams that L.A is a market they can't dance with. I'm sorry but although Prince, Pujols, Votto and Cain all got ridiculous contracts, I am discouraged that we didn't/won't get a chance to be in on those guys.
Not hating, I just doubt he'd come to LA. Even with the relapse he had recently, he still works hard at his sobriety. LA just has too many temptations. I'd love to have him, but I just don't see it. Plus, Texas is too good to pass up. Same reason I don't really see Napoli coming. Anything can happen, but Texas has a stranglehold even with the Angels' additions on the AL West. Their lineup is unreal.
Lots going on with the team right now. April 3 and still haven't played a home game at Dodger stadium. All the hoopla with the ownership change and a few lingering questions revolving some popular guys. Team needs to get settled and their legs under them and we will see what we have. Players have been away from home for awhile and we don't have talent overkill to over come distractions etc. We only have a slim margin to win with and will be streaky.
Can Hamilton pitch? Because the great Dodger strength looks like it needs a little pumping up tp me. Coffey is abominable, and for sure he'll be out there. Just say that "it's only ST" when it comes to Kemp...but I see some bad old habits again; he looks pretty bad, and that's the real deal. We are not the kind of team that can have a real shit first 4 months of the season like last year, and then get it together towards the end and contend...but everything I see on this squad, from top to bottom, indicates we'll be slow starters gain. Whether it will all come together in August is unknown. And usually, like last year, that's too far behind the leaders to win anything. Hope it all does a 180 on Thursday. Yeah, that's it-a 180.
Texas just seems like an organization that only resigns their players on their terms (i.e. CJ Wilson). Hamilton will command more than Texas will be willing to pay for.
I love how the Dodger clubhouse at Camelback is a million times nicer than their regular season clubhouse at the Stadium.
what was the deal? i wouldn't mind Abreu, but Aybar is going to cost prospects and money soon, i'd rather give Dee a shot unless Aybar would play 2nd.
