I really hope this team finds a way to stick it to the Giants this series. Fucking hate that Cueto has been their saving grace and kicking our ass ever since the second inning of the first game we played them. We've won his last two start 1-0 and 3-2, but I really want to just beat the tar out of their big 2 and then send Moore packing early. The bats REALLY need to wake up and keep going into the playoffs. They've been up and down, but it would be nice to see Joc, Corey, Agon, Turner and Grandal start getting the loft back in their swings.
Gonna be tough, unless we change around the BA, OBP, and slugging, which is the worst in MLB. Knew it sucked, but had no idea we were WORST...wow...fucking bummer...
Well, it seems like we're getting by with some timely hitting. We're not going to have a wholesale change in the lineup, so I'm just crossing my fingers it holds up.
Eh. Kendrick hasn't been all that great and Kike sucks. Jic should play. Grandal has a elbow injury so he will hit .180 for 5 months.
I think Roberts is looking at some recent history between Bum and Kike. There was an article that Kiki might be in there because of some relative success against Bum. My guess is there will be a lot of subbing depending on how the offense is shaping up after 4 or 5 innings. Maybe put Segedin on there after his performance against Bum when he first came up. Whatever the lineup, it's all hands on deck for this series.
The more I see him, the more distant the answer becomes. The drumbeat of the supporters of that move was loud and often, and what has it given us? Ruiz has definitely NOT given us a guy we can put in there to spell the oft-injured Grandal...I mean, you can put him in there, but you get nothing. A different body, older. So maybe he'll start hitting soon? A big question mark, imo. Not an FO Insider...
Yeah I knew that, but the logic isn't any different. It's late in the season and we are what we are, a crappy LHP hitting team. And yet we're still in first, so fingers crossed our timely hits continue to pay off.
yeah idk if there was a lot of supporters as much as people saying AJ wouldn't be as big a loss for what ruiz might bring but so far he might as well be AJ
The reason they got Chooch was to hit against lefties and yet he's not playing tonight???????????? MAKES NO SENSE. Not even mentioning that he's hit Bum in the the past. Is he hurt?
I am starting to think the biggest reason the front office traded AJ was to get rid of the personal catcher expectation from Clayton. Which is more understandable than trading a career Dodger for a marginal backup catcher upgrade. Grandal needs to be catching every Kershaw start in the biggest games of the year. Getting rid of AJ solved that.
Could be true but I don't care who Kershaw pitches to because he is Clayton Kershaw, but to not have our best guys out there that have had success against Bum is a mistake. This is the time to bury the Gnats!!!! http://m.mlb.com/gameday/giants-vs-...9112#game=449112,game_state=preview,game_tab=
Kershaw, MadBum, Vin, Dodger Stadium, Playoff implications. This is why we watch 162 games a year. Lets go
