My concern isn't so much with the ability, as it is with the availability. For how many turns can we realistically expect to only have to lean on one of Stewart/Ferguson/Urias/Santana given the checkered past of Ryu and assumed limits on Stripling?

Especially after Walter just went out said there has been no instruction to stay under the tax threshold. I understand they would have to move at least one OF, the rest seems unnecessary and of too much risk.

My man, there's so much out there right now about Harp preferring LAD that even if he signs with Philly..you know Philly fans..Harp is gonna get a lot of shit from them for all the LA love. Especially, as soon as he hits a rough patch/a cold couple weeks in performance, they are going make his life hell at the park.

Come on home, Harp. Close enough.

Saw something earlier from another guy..he's saying like everybody else that Harp would rather not play in Philly and prefers LAD, but also that Harp's family and wife are pulling him towards Kasten/LAD. Also, that Harp's family and Boras are somewhat at odds because Boras just wants him to sign with Philly and be done with it. May not have been anything substantial, but that's what I saw

I think now that Kershaw is hurt, that they probably would not move Hill at this point like I was thinking they could earlier in the offseason. The only thing I could see them moving is OF from the 25man at this time or MAYBE one of a guy like Stripling or Stewart. Otherwise, pitching has already taken a massive hit. They have enough depth to get through the first couple of months to add later if necessary.

This has been floated over the last couple of weeks. I have seen some former guys that say "don't listen to Boras, listen to your heart, your wife and what is best for your kids". There are a lot of dudes that hate Boras in the industry and for good reason.

This would make a lot of sense, they obviously have ties from their days in DC, but Boras as his agent wants him to chase every dollar, because that's what agents do.

I mean, for the good of the business of baseball ( player wise, at least) and keeping the dollar figures climbing, I get it. I truly do. However, I wonder if Machado and now Arenado have done enough in this area to let Harp just be free of the responsibility to the MLBPA

Harp has always seemed more like a guy that needs to be free. I never saw him with the buttoned up Yankee group, even though he had interest in going there

This is another bullshit thing about the whole not offering 10+ years. Carl Crawford, Matt Kemp and Robinson Cano have proven that no contract is untradeable.

I'm not even sure he has to. Having played in that division for so long and always having to go to Philly..the old Philly faithful may have fuck themselves by lighting into Harp all these years. We'll see though. Even though it feels like LAD has a fighting chance here, of course, LAD still remains the 2nd place champions of all time

It's fun watching Philly fans melting down on Twitter. None of them accept the fact that Harper might prefer the Dodgers. They are dumbfounded by even the possibility.

Man, they are fighting the good fight. I see them too. In every comment section.." you don't know shit, we have the most money! " Smh
They took the loss last offseason when LeBron picked the LA over Philly. They don't like that taste. No sir Lol

Even if he ends up taking every last dollar and going to Philly anyway, they'll still be salty.

Granted this is Colorado, but I just closed yesterday on a clients home that is moving to Philly. He has already told me to expect him to be back in the next couple of months. He has been there 2 months and he said it is the worst place he has ever lived. He moved to a spot where young people tend to live and he said it is just fucking garbage. Fucking sad and boring. Nothing to do.

Just gotta find a sucker (AJ) or, attach something of value, in our case, Adrian as it relates Crawford. In-terms of productivity that wasn't a great contract either, but it paid off by helping bring back fans.

My favorite recurring comment is "Why would he want to go to the Dodgers? To lose a World Series? LOL". Cool story, Phillies fan.
