Wish we would throw a truckload of cash at Tampa and take theirs. Is it possible to trade managers? We can give them Crawford and Don plus a player to be announced later.
you know i did not want to admit this since i'm a grown man but i did the same thing. i was in bed at 8 fucking 30 because i just had this balloon in my head and i knew i was going to be worthless and unable to be decent to anyone. i've been saying it since august. this shit dbb pulls is going to be magnified in the playoffs and here it is. his heart is in the right place and he's certainly a likeable enough guy but theres just no hiding how inept his choices were yesterday.
2008 and 2009 I was an absolute arsehole to everyone after a loss. I think it was Speirs on Band of Brothers who said something like resign to the fact that you are dead, you will not survive the war and shit will get a lot easier. I've resigned myself to the fact that we will eventually lose, a loss still hurts but it's not as magnified as way back then. Tricking my own brain.
Oh, fuck off Pedro Moura @PedroMoura12s Mattingly said he doesn’t regret any of his 7th-inning decisions last night: “I don’t look at it like we did anything crazy.”
I see Dum Dum more as a Donut shop kind of guy. https://www.facebook.com/DumDumsDoughnuts?ref=profile
I think that no way next year do we run away with the NLW like this year. the Giants are going all out (signing big Cuban hitters, too) to get it back, and I think AZ and CO will be better. This is the time to go to the WS, but if this stupid shit keeps up, it will be bridesmaid city one more time. Maybe not even bridesmaids...just people that were invited to the party to watch. Tired of making excuses for the last 25 years. It's time to bite the fucking bullet. That being said, splitting the first two at Turner is OK, but we coulda won with a little help from the guy who runs the team...I hope we can go 2/2 at DS. Don't want to hear that annoying stupid Tomahawk Chop anymore. It's amazing to me with all the years behind him and what he's seen in the game, Vinny is absolutely mesmerized by it. Like it's Gabriel's Trumpet or something. It's not that great , Vin.
Don might be hard to replace in the way he handles his player's, the clubhouse and the media relating to them. The field manager part is the easy upgrade.
yeah, this stuff just gets magnified in the playoffs but no doubt it's not like it's gonna be a guaranteed upgrade to replace him with anyone. Wallach/Hillman anyone else might do just as many questionable moves meanwhile having a bit more of a disruptive clubhouse
Yep and I believe some of his(if not most) of his decisions are influenced by these 2 guys, especially Hillman and even Honeycutt.
influenced, sure but it's dbb's job to manage the team, to make the final call take the "walking reed to face heyward" decision i don't care if every coach/player/batboy/trainer/interpreter/groupie/fluffer in the dodger dugout was adamant about putting reed on and pitching to heyward... it's still donnie's call and, ultimately, his responsibility after all, the coaches -- no matter what they said/suggested/believed -- aren't going to get fired because of what donnie opted to do
