and SS isn't an issue, re-sign Hanley, transition him to 3B, and Seager is there in 2016 with Hanley at 3B. Arruebarrena will be on the roster as a backup and so will Justin Turner, and Alex Guerrero can be put on the trade block.

 

OK, then 3B becomes an issue because Hanley's gonna be garbage there and the fact that most in the organization believe that Seager will be best fit at 3B looms over that whole plan.

and re-sign Hanley for how much anyway? he wants 130M and can probably get half that from the Yankees. you willing to spend 65M over 4yrs on Hanley?

if you're going with all these guys as backups and putting a positionless Guerrero on the trade block..why aren't you willing to package him with an unproven Pederson to get one of the better defensive catchers in MLB ( one who just so happens to hit 20HRs a year in the AL)?

Absolutely would give hanley 4 years 65 million without even thinking about it. He's gonna get more along the lines of 6 years 110 million though. I'm not packaging Pederson for a .240 hitting catcher who has a career OBP lower than AJ Ellis' OBP this season.
