Yeah it's not so much about Clayton IMO. These fucks can score 7 when it doesn't matter, but it's near impossible to score more than 2 or 3 runs when CK pitches.
No excuses from me on that, but it's become routine for them to not score many runs when he pitches. That game and the win in game 1 against the Braves are the only times the offense showed up.
Everyone has got to be on their A-game tomorrow. Couldn't care less if Kershaw gives up four and we score five as long as we win. I'm just worried about this team when they're backed up against the wall.
I really hate Brett. His comments are ridiculous Wood sucks and I didn't even know who he was before the trade. I thought he was Travis Wood. But people on here got me excited by saying they wouldn't give him up for Hamels/Price. I figured "dang we must've got a really good pitcher! Cool!"...I looked at his WHIP of nearly 1 1/2 and was baffled at why anyone liked him enough to not want to flip him in a trade. But I still kept hope and waited to see him pitch. Yup, he's a scrub with a ceiling of a #4. And can we officially stop putting value on "under team control for x years"? Who cares? Seriously. We trade, sign, and DFA 10 players a week and pay all their salaries. How valuable is team control when you're paying Manny Ramirez to dick around with the Cubs and Brandon League to carve coconut heads somewhere in Hawaii?
Btw, I would be satisfied just to win this series. Usually I wouldn't but with the way this series has went, it would be brutal for the Mets to get last laugh. That's painful.
Nobody in LA can even watch the games during the regular season which is the biggest joke in the history of the franchise. Dont get me started on Guggenheim. You sign a 300 million per year TV deal and still have to plaster billboards over the entire stadium? We get it! Time Warner Cable on the wall, time warner in the hexagon sign above the Pavillion, time warner behind the backstop, security benefit. Blah blah blah. "Welcome to Dodger Stadium, presented by Forest Lawn!" Speaking of Forest Lawn, Kershaw is pitching tomorrow. RIP 2015. Guggenheim are such pricks and Stan Kasten is such a blowhard. Whether he's good at his job or not he's such a mouthpiece. The team who is in the playoffs every year will be bounced by a team who hasn't been relevant since Wilson Betemit was our cleanup hitter. Then the Giants will sweep the Mets next year no problem. Same crap.
I really, really miss Ryu. Injury turned out to be a killer. Thought we'd adjust and add someone good in the 3 spot since the injury happened so early in the season but we didn't come close.
I was thinking about that...and I really don't see how we'd make it past a 7 game series with our starting rotation. Maybe if we win it in 5 games like a 5 game series, but having to win 4 of them?
I feel sick honestly. I was good waking up after game 1. But this sucks. Luckily I have a class tonight at 6:30 so I'll miss the stress of a Kershaw start.
