After the Lakers get Cousins in trade and LeBron comes in FA they can resign Brook Lopez and KCP to agreeable contracts. First Team Lonzo, Ingram LeBron Cousins Lopez Second Team Lonzo KCP Ingram LeBron Cousins Third Team Lonzo KCP Kuzma Nance Lopez Fourth Team Hart Kuzma Nance Bryant Ivica
29/11/9 for Zo. Sure it's the Sun's so it's like summer league, but still a good night. New career high for Ingram too.
Oh damn, I shorted Zo, 29pts not 23..clearly he sucks Lol Cowherd will be back on Zo's dick by Monday And Ingram with 25..shitty Suns certainly a factor for both, but still better than the alternative, you just play the schedule Lopez and Brewer look like the solid older vets that fit..must lose Deng somehow Hopefully, it's not a deal where Deng only sits on the back to back nights because KCP will obviously be back Julius just looks like a body, relegated to role big man..they may have to move him early, especially if he keeps pouting and playing like a jackass..can't really keep dragging his value down unless you're just gonna let him leave in free agency after the year. Luke needs to step his game up too..this isn't the '09 Lakers and he's not Phil..call a fuckin timeout..there's no Kobe or Fish to calm things down when the game is getting away. Can't just sit there like Phil, brodie
deng at 72 mil just hurts. ball looked great. the guy has the it factor and nothing gets to him. he's just gonna need to be aggressive like that offensively more often than not if we're gonna win because we simply don't have enough around him for him to have many of those j Kidd type of games
The pace they want to play at won't help much in that department either, they're gonna give up a lot of points just based on number of FGAs KCP is probably their best defender and they get him back from suspension next game..he didn't break his nose after all, so we'll see how he helps them on that end Zo highlighted the need for better defense in the post game interview, but hell, his defensive play on Bledsoe probably saved the game
I think Luke is still trying to figure out the new lower timeout count. He burned them all in the first half on Thursday, then didn't use them when he needed to last night.
How I feel about Luol Deng ---> https://twitter.com/Andrew__Koenig/status/917953119119708160 Lol Pierce cracking up, but Billups is 110% on it..Deng needs to be in the Big 3, may he never play again, inactive 4 life Magic/Pelinka/Luke just have to face the music and stretch/waive Deng unless they can send him out with Julius and/or Zu somehow
He needs to get it together Poor time out usage and poor decisions with the rotations Now, I'm sure Magic and Pelinka are probably nudging him to play Deng to try and show him off for trade, I'm not naive, but forget that, chunk that plan When Kuzma came along that should've been it for Deng Every minute they had lined up for Deng, should go to Kuzma..every single one KCP coming back means more minutes at forward for BI..it should also mean RIP Deng But not even just Deng..last night Luke doesn't play Hart at all for the first 3 quarters and then pulls him off the bench in crunch time..that kid is out there cold AF What was that? A test?
I think he was looking for a rotation that worked. They looked really stagnant and ball-stoppey when Ingram and Zo weren't out there. I think he was just looking for someone to play the right way.
When you have Julius and Clarkson in a unit together, the ball is going to stop..sort of the same with Ennis to a degree So many of the players on the team deserve minutes, I was afraid of Luke not knowing where to go with his rotations in key spots Can make a case for everybody to get some run..everybody except Deng
omens don't bode well for a decent season giving up 130 to the hapless suns nothing about what i saw makes me think much is going to change either still early but if this is the direction 90% of the league will beat us on a given night
Colin CowherdVerified account@ColinCowherd 34m34 minutes ago Daily updates. We are introducing the Lebronzo meter on Monday. Did I call it?
Luke showing Brewer some love with the media Should be interesting to see if he goes with Brewer as the starter, bringing KCP off the bench now that he's back KCP is an underrated playmaker, could take the ball out of Clarkson's hands some and keep him from going too crazy
I really think they should attempt hard to set up a trade with the Pelicans for Cousins. It would free some salary holds in order to attract one big FA at least. LeBron is not even required. Any of the big FA would make this team an instant championship contender. Which is what Magic wants. To bring back the glory of the Lakers Al Davis style. This is the richest FA market that I can remember. The only guy who you are for sure thinking will not move is Kevin Durant, but he is the guy who was in the 2nd/3rd best team in the NBA and left for the Warriors which was kinda shocking. Imagine he pulls a fast one and says that he has already won with the Warriors and now wants to try to do it at the biggest stage with the Lakers. And the best way to ensure that a Paul George or a LeBron one of the other 25 or so good players who will be available as FA this offseason becomes a Laker is to nab one of them via trade first in a prearranged agreement to a new long term contract extension with the team. Then even if we only have money for 1 big FA you can splurge that on that guy. Brook Lopez and KCP are not even on most top 20 lists of FA this offseason. That is how deep it is. And there will be lots of surprise FA player that have vastly improved seasons and will all of a sudden be considered a potential star player. One of those guys is Sixers SF Robert Covington who will be great this year in terms of how much he will show he has grown to his potential as an all around player. It may not transfer to all-star type stats but as a really great role player like Jerome Kersey or a Buck Williams. I would love the Lakers to somehow nab him before he explodes if they cant get a top tier guy like LeBron/George/Westbrook/Durant. Which means they can get another similar level guy like Avery Bradley or Rodney Hood to make the team very versatile, long, and deep. Just like Irish likes it. Then it is about keeping guys like Lopez and KCP to team friendly contracts with the promise of playing on a great Laker team. They are not going to get much love in the offseason. A major success that would be wildly crazy would be just getting LeBron in FA and get Lou Will and Covington as role players with a promise that they get taken care of later with a wink from Magic. PG: Lonzo, Williams, Ennis SG: Ingram, KCP, Hart SF: LeBron, Covinton, Brewer PF: Boogie, Kuzma, Bryant C : Lopez, Nance, Bogut That team cant be messed with. Lots of freaks of nature. And the team is well set up for LeBron retiring with a slew of potential good SF's that could learn from him.
Boogie has the IQ of an ice cube and an attitude that is absolutely caustic. Don’t want him near this young team with a young coach.
Watson got fired today... that's rough. He has no team to work with. Front Office has whiffed on some draft picks.
