Looks like Cards have the tougher schedule too at the end. What hurts is the Chicago and Cowboys picks won’t be as good as originally thought.
Yeah, Cards are probably locked into #1. Today was probably their last chance to fuck up, they started out the game against the Falcons like they had a win in them, but ultimately faded. Although, the Cards probably should trade out of #1 and draft the top O-lineman before Rosen dies out there. Niners went from #1 to #4 in the draft order, I hope this shit was worth it. I appreciate the Cowboys for losing too, that pick they sent for Cooper climbed up to #22 today. I think Dallas has one more loss in them. That final game against the Giants is in NY..big rivalry game. If that pick stays put or barely sneaks into the Top 20, that's cool. I just want Nick Bosa or Quinnen Williams on the RAIDER D-line and neither will probably be there after the first 2 picks, both are beasts.
That entire Levi Stadium is an ode to the 49ers. I have no idea how or if they’ll make it Raider centric for Raider home games. Are they gonna repaint every seat, black out the museum....what a sad way to leave the Bay Area.
Repaint every seat..black out the museum..sounds like a job for RAIDER fans. Lol Truth be told, fuck the bay. It's definitely a weird situation all around, but they've celebrated a hell of a lot more Super Bowls wins than Los Angeles has, so they'll be OK. Not sure what would happen if they played a year at Levi, though, I do know that their field is 10000000000x better than that trash in Oakland, so I'm all for it. Wherever they go next season, so long as they go. To add 3 or 4 first round talents and have any of those guys get hurt on that dirt infield would be the real tragedy
Just looking through the tRaiders stats to see how much better/worse Jordy Nelson has been over Crabtree. Crabtree has more completions but only a 54% catch rate vs Nelson's 71% rate. Big difference. Both pretty close otherwise but Nelson is still an upgrade. Unless one is 'trying' to tank
The tank was initiated on the defensive side of the ball. If it were a full blown tank on both sides, trust that Rodney Hudson would be sitting, the best center in football. And then of course, Chucky also wants to keep Carr alive because you don't just put a talented QB in the blender..even if you may not want him long term, he can be a trade asset if he's healthy and playing well. The difference in Nelson's and Crabtree's catch rate %'s has always been there. Nelson has some of the best pure hands of his generation. Chucky got rid of the guys who weren't catching catchable balls. They'll get Nelson some help this offseason. Fully expect them to draft a WR or dynamic TE in the 1st couple rounds as well as probably sign an older Golden Tate to help fill the slot. They'll probably overpay for Le'Veon Bell as well, another pretty good receiver when he's split out. They need stars going into Vegas and Bell would provide that much. About $65MM in cap space this offseason, and that's after accounting for draft money and re-signing some guys.
Trading Khalil Mack was insanity. Pure Chucky vanity. which is why Hudson must play. FIFY They need talent. I thought that Carr was servicable but counted on Mack leading the D charge. So much for that Now they need 'something' more
"You" are far more of a tRaiders fan than I but on the scale of being NFL competent at QB where do you place Carr?? 70% 50% 15%?? 5%?? Not that I see too many stepping into those shoes at this moment either but I'm starting with 'how competent do YOU think Carr is'??
Re NFL practices I was explaining to my mid 20's son and his friends about how the NFL has polluted college football due to recent contract 'bonus' terms. Simply that modern NFL "D" players get paid extra per tackle but they get paid way more for turnovers, so now everyone is a ball hawk We're watching some NCAA game and the D kept fucking up and missing tackles by trying to force turnovers and then the runner would get an extra 10-15 yards. This happened a lot in the game we were watching. I explained how 'my' old fat old school football coach in high school would of benched us for missing a tackle. Missing a tackle because you were ball hawking might cost you an entire quarter. Old school. These days all the college kids see the pro's doing it and do not realize that it is NOT a winning technique But contracts. #bonuses. So I'm watching a pro game a few weeks later and no kidding 40-50% of the plays are extended because of ball hawking. Might as well not play D if 'that' is how you're playing
Competency wouldn't be my question with Carr. He's made some mistakes that have cost him health-wise in the past, but not any more than the next young, talented QB that's sort of in his class. Young guys generally deal with ups and downs and the org definitely put him in bad spot as well on Xmas eve '16. Didn't do him any favors there. Worst part for me is I called the disaster before the game..I just know the RAIDERS too well. Courage, conviction, commitment and consistency are the questions with Carr and that's usually what you get when a young QB is coming off a couple years where they've been beat up. Getting through this season healthy will be a huge win for his courage and conviction. Commitment will probably always be up in the air because he's a different guy, almost retired after his rookie year to be a pastor. A big part of consistency is being allowed to grow in the same system year to year and he's not been afforded that much with an ever-changing coaching staff. One of the reasons I'm happy to have Chucky on a lengthy contract, enough is enough with all the coaching changes. Earlier in the season it looked as if these things were going to beat Carr, but to his credit he powered through and has done so without a great amount of weapons offensively and an underperforming O-line. Carr hasn't thrown an INT in 9 weeks, the new active leader since Rodgers threw an INT last week. He's making a case to stick, to continue as part of the foundation going into Vegas.
Down goes Josh Gordon, banned by the league indefinitely. The doubters were right. Martavis Bryant and Josh Gordon..damn, what a waste of talent Truly feels like the Patriots are done with Gronk looking washed up and Edelman not much better
Can't trust UFC whatsoever anymore. Jon Jones tests positive AGAIN! This time, instead of making him go through a fake suspension, they are just moving the fight to California and having a press conference saying it was from his test back in 2017. Nah. Jon Jones is my favorite fighter but nah. He is on steroids and the UFC is desperate for him.
