Roberts does this to CK more than any other pitcher. It's a testament to the 200+ wins. Heyward is ice cold so let's hide him in the 3-spot. Only from the mind of Roberts.
Our 7-8-9 are hitting .209, .179, and .088. And a .208 at 3. Weren't the new shift restrictions supposed to help hitters?
23-pitch 1st for Kershaw. Something tells me he's not going to eat the innings the team needs in this one. Honestly, I don't even know how he's out there. I wouldn't be able to this soon.
The guy batting 7th is batting .209 ? Then he should move up to 3rd, because that guy is batting .208.
Man, bring up or trade for a glove at third and let Max DH or some shit. He's fucking atrocious in the field. Wow.
bullpen exhausted yesterday and now yank (homo) kersh after 4 outstanding managing this ought to end well
Pitchers aren't helping at all. It's rare that a good throw would get runners stealing on this team. Catchers don't have a chance.
Caught the game starting with the Taylor AB with the bases loaded. Sounded like a RISP failure game. Post game Kershaw proved why he is as classy a player to ever don the Blue. Despite a heavy heart and a subpar performance, he answered questions and at the end thanked everyone who has extended their condolences to him. God bless you, CK. PS.........he indicated he would make his next start in St. Louis.
Hope Outman can fix whatever is going on because it has been painful to watch him swing and miss at every pitch
Amazing that he has done a 180° in such a short time. Really surprising. I hope he doesn't become an auto out ( which right now, he is) like so many are on this roster...from Heywood, to Barnes, to Thompson to Rojas to the common streakiness of Taylor and Muncy. There are so many offensive holes at present. And it may be verboten, but the D looks very shaky quite often these days. Imo, we're lucky to be 1-1 with the Twins, and need a getaway victory today. They look our equal, at least.
Still trying to figure out why the Cubs let Heywood go. Trying to make sense of it. Oh...wait. Am I missing something, then ? And: note to Vargas: the basepaths are not your strongpoint. Nope.
