Not sure what the Guggs expected when they basically did nothing this off season. They thought nothing is broke so don't fix things....save a little money and we should get back to the WS. Well there were signs that our pitching was a bit short and hitting can be streaky, and now here we are. Look, at the end of the day, the players have to execute. Nothing is automatic. That winning streak last year doesn't just magically appear. I sometimes get the feeling the players think the magic pixie dust will rain down. They better wake up soon. While the playoffs are not won in the first couple of months of the season.....your playoff chances maybe lost in those 1st few months. Arizona and any WC is starting to look like a stretch if something doesn't turn around. It also begs the question whether we become sellers at the trade deadline or buyers. Most likely, we will be neither.
Players we relied on to carry us are injured or not performing like they did last year. It's a different feeling, especially come off a WS appearance last year.
Yep. but I also hold Chase responsible, too. That was a DP ball he botched, and caused lots of extra pitches from CK...if he doesn't, CK would have heen in there instead of slo pitch Libertore. What an amateur. Definition of cluster fuck : Your... Los Angeles Dodgers
I like trying out Joc and Verdugo 1-2 in the order. Joc’s had good at bats and Verdugo’s contact skills already look incredible
No one gets away with a low pitch count against this lineup...a SP can't get that deep facing AZ . Too stacked. Too good. And playing a team like LA, with the worst bp going, that's a huge weapon.
