Magnificent effort by CK...just an exciting experience watching him on the mound. So we are not getting swept for sure, and who knows what will happen the next two. I don't thave much faith in Latos, don't like him at all, but neither do I like Utley (warming up a bit, though), but he had a damn good game. Latos is minimally talented at this point, or right now, IMO...so he needs offense. It would really be great if Grandal and CC got a meaningful hit every now and then...and Turner and Agon could turn it up a bit also. Maybe Latos can get to mediocrity, if we're lucky. I know you can't say anything about Grandal, what he did previously, etc., etc. But really if it hurts him to bat LH all the time, I have these suggestions : a) bat RH, no matter who is on the mound-fuck the R/L bs for once if you're in pain...and b) there is another catcher on the team, who, amazingly is a better option right now, hitting the ball hard...uh...he can be in there. Better than the auto-out. Y'know...offense Donnie... get a little creative...the Giants have definitely turned it up now, a la the last 3 WS levels... can't sleep now, Donnie. Anyway, super effort by CK. Awesome.
just hoping latos can keep us in the game going six and holding the cubs to two runs would fit that bill as for lester... he's good, very good but (at least i'm hoping) he's also due for a bad outing that said, it better be really bad because we all know how precarious it will be between latos-to-kenley but you know what, fuck it our pen is due for a good run! i say latos goes six, allows one run, and we win 5-1 and no, I haven't been drinking... much

it was the right move by utley imo aggressive baserunning and he forced montero to have to make a play tie game, no outs... i like it
