Only been a couple games that have been worse in the shot clock era. Some Mike Mitchell guy back in '80 shot 5-30 and scored 10 points, and one of my all-time faves - sad to say - Gary Payton shot it 30 times and scored 19 back in 2000. This was a rare event
Kuz missing all these fuckin layups. Now free throws. Got the 3 to go at the buzzer, at least Beat Utah in Utah tonight, after beating Denver in Denver last night..championship.
Kuz has become the buzzer beating master. Probably because he stops thinking so much and just lets it fly. Young Horry
Ripping Utah a new one in their own place, on the 2nd night of a back to back This is a team. The last LAL title team didn't talk this much during games. Constant communication. Back to back title material. To hell with parity and all that corny shit. Lakers must look like a supermodel to Iggy right now
The Kuz D! Not nearly as bad a travel as Westbrook's though. Westbrook holds the crown in this one and will never relinquish it
Gil shitting on " pure point guards " and " positionless basketball " is everything. Pretty much the whole episode is a jewel though. Love Gil
Because he played at a high level, experienced a bunch of wild stuff, and he's fun and authentic? I mean, I appreciate a good get off my lawn moment as much as anyone, but you weren't the target audience, so your lawn is fine. Others have enjoyed when I posted some of his stuff before. Guy actually has one of the biggest followings in terms of athlete podcasts, so people do enjoy listening I'm sure Shaq has great financial advice and that some would like listen to him speak and crack jokes....but he'll also pay to fuck your wife, give her a STD and destroy families - including his own. Great guy. I enjoyed watching Shaq's son go on Gil's podcast after Gil roasted Shaq over his underhanded, rat bastard behavior during his time in the league. Says a lot about what Shaq's own kids think of him - interesting stuff to know
So Rondo shot 36% from the 3 point line from 2015 through last season. Now, through the 12 games that he's played this season he is 17-34 from behind the arc. Career 60% shooter from the free throw line is currently shooting 72% from the stripe. Has he improved on his shooting again? The league had better hope not.
Dan Duangdao@DanDuangdao According to #Lakers PR: Lakers have won 10 consecutive road games for only fourth time in franchise history (first since 1999-00 season). @ Portland tonight. Another one of those places, historically, where streaks go to die
Rajon Rondo, fitting in: The Lakers took deserved heat for paying Rondo $9 million to do whatever it is he did for last season's mishmash of a team, but Rondo -- now on a two-year, $5.2 million deal -- has fit in surprisingly well for this new version. The Lakers have walloped opponents by 16 points per 100 possessions with Rondo and LeBron on the floor, per NBA.com. That might not sustain once Rondo cools from deep. (He's shooting 50% on 3s.) There is inherent tension pairing LeBron with a shaky-shooting ball handler. Toss in a non-shooting center -- JaVale McGee or Dwight Howard -- and you are asking for droughts. But Rondo's playmaking has helped those lineups flow. Rondo's genius has always shone most brightly when the game breaks from script -- when the initial set hasn't yielded anything, and the floor is jumbled. In moments of chaos, Rondo sees things -- passes, cuts, rebounding opportunities -- that elude most players.
