Just from an entertainment value, probably Detroit.

    Kershaw vs Verlander
    Greinke vs Scherzer
    Ryu vs Sanchez

Puig, Kemp, Agon, HanRam vs Cabrera, Fielder, Jackson

I had no interest with DET...but reading your post made me think again and that it would be entertaining, it also made me realize I do NOT want to play them.

Detroit is a damn scary team. If we make it to the WS, I really hope DET wouldn't be our opponents.

Two best teams in baseball imo. With us being #1 of course.

    Dodgers vs Red Sox

You got the storyline of the trade last year. We haven't faced each other in a WS since 1916. On top of that, that matchup would draw crazy ratings plus I love the matchups for our side. :)

Yasiel benched, and punished "more than one dollar, but less than ten thousand" as per DBB, gets in and hits the go-ahead game winning HR anyway.
The guy has got the magic, and the tools to do that. he actually shows everybody up just by doing what he's supposed to....last night anyway. It's like he has had two careers already in jst over two months. Incredible.
Anyone who still defends league is mystifying to me, as the result is as it was most of the time. I guess for what they paid him, he'll be around and pitch...but TBH, he seems like a roster spot wasted....like a Guerrier. IDK what happened to this guy, but he's pretty high in the zone, a la Capuano, and he'll give it up to practically any team wit that kind of command, no matter who they are. I once thought the guy was nails.

I keep seeing Green when he hits it to 2b. he looks like he's trying to pull outside pitches, and of course, the rollover bouncer is the constant result. Go with it why don't you? A vet like him trying to pull a pitch way off the plate?

If Carl Crawford played a full season this year he's got a WAR total in the 4's. He's been very solid, and pretty on track with his career production. I'll gladly take .290/.340/.410 with ++ defense Carl Crawford going forward.

So you didn't want my honest opinion when you asked "What do you think of Kid Rock and his music?"

Paisano, is this the time for the "...and if my aunt had balls...etc." quote? Yeah he's been terrific at times no doubt, but he is what he is. He seems to me to be trying to pull everything, instead of going with it. It is kind of mustifying why a guy with his creds is doing this, but I guess everyone is entitled to brain farts. Even a vet.
I'm a vet (although not BB), but I still think James Loney was OK. Now, how dopey is that? And I think Ronald belisario cursing while being lifted last night is hilarious. Paco di his thing, but I wonder if he didn't, what a camera pan on Chupa would have shown him muttering?
"Maricon Mattingly es uno puta loco"? Or something? Who knows how you say "micromanaging" in Spanish?

We would rock Verlander. He's not great in the post season. But that lineup.

    Fuck that lineup is scary.

IMO Detroit is the scariest AL team and thus would provide the overall best WS excitement.

Do I want to face them? Hell no.

Verlander might not have done so well previously in the post season but that kid can plain pitch and our Dodgers periodically turn into AA players against a competent pitcher... and sometimes against feeble relievers too.

I'd rather face the Red Sox just so our ex-Sox players can step up to redeem themselves while flipping off Boston at the same time.

OK DSP crowd... has ANYONE ever seen a pitcher demand a mound rebuild in the middle of a game?

If so I've not seen one...

Not sure about that... these days it might actually gain him fans rather than cost him at all

Agreed. And in the NL the damn Cardinals are at least as scary as the Tigers. Maybe more so.

One step at a time Lindsey...

Do you think his D is still ++? He's lost a step or two and his arm is a liability.

It seems the consensus here is that he's our worst defender, which is funny because I don't have that feeling at all, I think he's easily the most sure-handed and reliable guy out there.

sure handed OK but he truly has a girls throwing arm anymore... no way he can be called a ++ defender... and due to nothing but the pansy arm I wouldn't even give him a +
