what? no correia for game 4? now who's gonna shut us down? Kevin Correia DFA'd by Phillies by Aaron Gleeman | NBC Hardball Talk — 40 minutes ago Philadelphia is in need of plenty of pitching help, but the Phillies have designated veteran right-hander Kevin Correia for assignment after he went 0-3 with a 6.56 ERA in five starts. Correia wasn’t even particularly good at Triple-A before being called up by the Phillies and was a mess last season for the Twins and Dodgers, so it’s no surprise that he pitched poorly at age 34. He’s one season removed from a two-year, $10 million deal with the Twins, but Correia hasn’t posted an ERA better than the league average since 2007 and may be running out of chances.
BTW, do we have a thread about Kershaw not making the All Star Team. The fans are one thing, but did Bochey pull a Giants homer move not putting him on the team?
of course he did and dbb would have done the same thing and taken kersh managers are gonna [and should] take care of their guys in an otherwise meaningless exhibition game
Meaningless for who? The game might be useless, but the selection isn't. Taking care of your own guys doesn't mean excluding someone who deserves to go.
you could make an argument that neither deserved to go kersh's numbers aren't exactly stellar either but both have name recognition personally idgaf if any of our guys make the team, would rather they rest tbh
So we get to beat up on the Tin Man let the rejoicing begin !! we better fucking beat this @#%&@#(^chump
Where have you been? That's how politics works starting in little league and travels all the way up through professional jobs. That's like, the U.S. mindset in a nutshell.
Damn I'd love to argue with that assertion... but since the facts all support that statement I'll let it pass
CK does have better numbers than bumfucker with the exception being wins. More Ks lower ERA in about the same amount of innings. But I agree.....let CK rest for the second half.
