Was out for the evening and didn't pick up the game until the top of the 7th. I'm curious about Nelson. His first appearance since the inspections start and his biting curveball suddenly has no bite? Just a bad night for him or was the sticky stuff his secret sauce? Another shaky outing for Victor and did Kelly get hurt again? Redemption night for the anti-clutch Pollock and Max doing what Max does.
Every team needs relievers but we definitely need a Left handed reliever and a right handed one. Right handed one doesn’t need to be great, jsut a guy who can save a 6 run lead.
Decent game from Cody too. He’s not crushing the ball or anything but as long as he’s getting on base, his defense and speed make him valuable. Hopefully he goes on a hot streak soon but he doesn’t need to press
I never quite understood Victor's past success...however in the rear view mirror it actually is. It looks to me like he throws the same pitch each time practically, over and over. Again and again, and no longer with great command at that. I guess he can start it more inside or outside, and throw it harder or not, but it looks like the same pitch to me. Always. I never got Bumgardner's success either for almost the same reasons. Guess I don't get it... But, he's not " high leverage " so much these days it appears, no matter what the reason.
Wouldn't mind us looking at a starter either Doesn't have to be anyone spectacular but a guy who can eat innings I worry about some of the guys in the rotation tiring out due to the shortened season last year, especially Julio who is already trending downwards. A couple off skipped starts could help a lot in the future
Betts RF Muncy 1B Turner 3B Smith C Lux SS Taylor CF Pollock LF McKinstry 2B Urías P Scheduled off day for Bellinger according to Roberts
We should be ahead by at least 2-3 runs, but forget clutch hits by all but a very few in this lineup.
Bench Chris Taylor’s stupid ass. Caught stealing third and then gets picked off at third. Fucking moron
idk he got big hits last year and of course made huge game changing plays i love his approach and how involved he is in every play in every game think he believes in himself and that's what matters in the end either way i'm rooting for the guy contract or not
We all win if you’re correct....Mookie turning it around could be the difference in a NL West title or not...I think it’s 100% a necessity if we wish to win anything.
