    The problem for the Rays is they have a shitty location to play baseball. Tropicana Field is in the middle of nowhere.

    Agreed.the trop also has no visual appeal, both inside and out, and also is just plain boring but that's a whole different conversation.I also dont think tampa bay, or actually st. pete, is a good location simply bc it's yankee country.

    I don't disagree with anything Towers said and don't think he's whining. He just stating the obvious advantages the Dodgers have now just like we used to talk about the Red Sox, Yankees, Phillies, etc.

    He's a total douche and I think his team is formed from the scum of the earth, that doesn't make him wrong or a whiner.

    True...

    I think any GM in that situation though would try and use it to their full advantage. Money makes the world go round...its no different in baseball. I bet any GM not just towers in the same situation would be making the same hypocritical statements. When they have the money they will abuse it, when they dont have the money they will bitch and complain about the teams that do.

    Even the years the Marlins won the fucking world series their fans were not veyr active. Heat fans only show up because they are the trendy Miami thing to do now.

    Damn really? Always seemed like FSU, UF and Miami did a pretty good job and had pretty loyal fanbases for football at least. Fuck Florida...bunch of tourist fucks anyways.
