    Yeah, he has holes at the moments. It's frustrating to see a lot of K's but it's also hard to evaluate him with his walks and home runs. He seems to have good recognition of the pitches just has a damn hole in his swing, but when it's connecting... See ya

    He doesn't chase that many bad pitches. If I knew how to look up the percentage of swings and misses on balls out of the strike zone I would. But he's walked a zillion times so he can't be doing all that bad on bad pitches.

    he has been lately. He is walking, but he isn't hitting much of anything either. Needs to adapt his swing so it isn't so all or nothing

    he needs to recognize when it's time to shorten up and conform.

    he's also throwing in the towel mentally at times..and that's what DBB was trying to protect him from by hitting him 8th. it's a tale as old as time..when we tell you that the kid needs to be brought along slowly, it's not because we think he sucks..it's because most need to be brought along slowly. there's more on the line hitting up top. hopefully he'll shake it off.

    Maybe in certain situations Mark and Don will suggest to him to shorten up a bit. But right now it's hard to complain about Joc.
