Big game for so many obvious reasons but it's also for a trip to the WS. Winner is not losing to the fucking Braves.
@DodgerInsider Julio Urías' postseason numbers since the start of last year's playoffs: 1.29 ERA, 34 K, 5 BB Julio Urias on the road: 19 starts, 14-2 W/L, 2.68 ERA
yeah but… The Giants haven't lost a home game started by Webb this year. In Webb’s 13 starts at Oracle Park, he’s gone 7-0 with a 1.78 ERA.
Buster Olney@Buster_ESPN Corey Knebel has four starts in his career, all this season. Presumably, he'll be followed by Julio Urias, as the Dodgers aim to influence/exploit initial set-up of the Giants' lineup. 11:03 AM · Oct 14, 2021 · TweetDeck
stupid stupid stupid so smart it hurts fuck it im ready to pull the race card for once in my life not really that was a joke relax my white clad brothers my skins dry washed with woolite tis was just a flesh joke
Use something currently undetectable ? Well, then, accepting that particular gobbledegook as gospel then, is an open ended " we're right, and nothing can prove us wrong". Ever. And if MLB doesn't give a flying fuck at all about this shit as you wrote, then why is/ was anybody punished ever, at all ? I guess Farhan is the secret Wuhan chemical man, and that's why they came an stole him from us...but he seems to have a knack of putting a solid team together by clever, insightful moves. Y'know...Like he's done before. You want to believe.they're roiding, then go ahead...but I haven't read one thing anywhere that makes me think they are PED users...not one. Certainly not suspicions and Giant hatred, which burns no brighter than my own. Seems to me like a ready made excuse in case they move on and we don't . That's my last word on it.
BZoo.... Bondo used HGH for years because ::: drum roll please::: MLB had no test to determine whether a player was on it or not. Ditto many steroids, until they did have tests for it ..... and then players got busted for it. You follow me? Besides, you seem like you've got a serious hard-on for anybody who would imagine that a team, especially in this case the Giants, might be cheating to explain extremely rare and highly irregular numbers from underachieving players over their careers. I doubt they are but I suspect they likely are. That isn't illegal. It's a supposition. And I'll say this again - four years ago, the Astros beat LA via an alarmingly high percentage of their hitters anticipating changeups. Then, it looked like LA & Kershaw sucked ass. It looked that way ... until it was proven they cheated. Proven post facto. Post facto ... meaning after the fact. Meaning that any cheating San Francisco may be doing this year might not be found out until after the World Series is over... Do you follow me now? Or is that gobbledygook because it's perfectly clear to anybody who can read? So ... rave on, man... because while we both have a dim view of the Dodgers underachievement and disgust with their choking ways and folding under pressure many times, I part company with you on the Giants being superior. They aren't. They won one more game than LA all year. And I don't believe they've earned all those wins. Anyway... after tonight... we'll know a bunch more. So enjoy the game. I won't. I don't plan on watching it.
so julio is good enough to face the top of the lineup the 2nd time, but not the first? pretty big risk, and wastes a solid reliever reeks of panic
Teh Tanned Taint has to know it's just one or two innings and then Julio will pitch the majority of innings. Can't see this changing his lineup much, if at all.
Can’t wait for the Giants to score 3 in the first inning off Knebel and then watch Julio shut them down.
I don’t know what to think about this move. There is a fundamentally different approach to being a SP as opposed to being a reliever and the switch is a lot to ask of a young pitcher in such a crucial game. Why now? At the end of the day, what matters is that the LA bats have to start hitting, score a lot of runs and early. Can’t let the Gnats get ahead early and then have the Dodgers struggling with each at bat….pressing and pressing. Can’t let Game 1 and Game 3 happen to LA again.
The only reason I'm not nervous is that with the game 3 loss, I went from expecting to win to seeing us as the underdogs. I wish it wasn't the case, but I'm not liking our odds tonight.
Also, Vegas doesn't like this move either. I'm borderline shocked he would do this in such a pivotal game.
