I don't know about sweeping the C's, but if the Cavs want any shot at beating the Warriors they'll need to sweep whomever comes out of the Wiz/C's series and have as much rest as possible.

    Not so sure about that

LeBoner has taken rest breaks for the past month, just swept this series, and he appears in Finals form based upon watching his past few games. I'm not sure that either the Wizards or Celtics will present much of a match.

If the Cavs had LeBron at every spot in their lineup, sure. The issue is that the Cavs weren't as good as a unit on the defensive side this year. A recent 8 game run where they beat up on an underachieving Pacers squad that has their lone star looking to play for LAL and a Toronto team that was missing it's all-star PG doesn't cancel out the defensive inconsistencies that plagued them all year. The Wizards are a tough team, physically tough, have two guns and they shoot a high %. I feel they'll play the Cavs tougher than the Celtics will.

Does that mean the Cavs won't sweep the Wiz or the C's? Ultimately, no. And again, they more than likely need to sweep whomever comes out of that series and rest up because the Warriors are the best team out there period. Let there be no mistake..the Cavs only won the championship last season because Green was suspended for Game 5. That series is over 4-1 if not for that..and oh BTW, they added Kevin Durant. Cavs had better sweep and rest up.

I'd like to generally agree with you but you happen to be dead worng on the line I quoted above.

LeBron stepped up and took over games 5, 6 & 7 and no amount of Draymond Green was stopping him. Fact. How'd Draymond do in Games 6 or 7? Not good enough obviously.

I don't like it. It seemed like the Warriors wilted right as LeBoner asserted himself but in any event the facts remain that LeBron took over and walked away with the rings. Draymond didn't matter.

This year should be the Warriors to lose by adding Durant who just happens to be very well rested after that injury. A full Warriors squad against the Cavs?

I agree that the Cav's are going to need every bit of that rest, of course they're on track to get it so let's see how it goes

Again, LeBron is not the problem.
LeBron was playing well when the Warriors were kicking their asses and taking that 3-1 lead in last year's Finals.
    This is not LeBron VS
He has a team that has to play as well.
Cavs' 22nd ranking in defensive efficiency this year is not on LeBron.

    Not sure we're disagreeing

I'm saying that LeBron is a one man gang and it matters not who is around him when he gets into "Me v. The World"

That is waaaaay different that the Cav's regular season stats on anything.

LeBoner pulls on his Bob's BigBoy jockstrap in the playoffs and last year he alone couldn't be stopped. It didn't matter who the Warrios threw at him he mowed them down in rapid order.

Sure it helps if the other Cavs show up, but in #5,6,7 last year one man stromed the beaches and took no prisoners. I don't like him much at all but who's going to argue at what he did. Can he do it again? I gotta say if the Warriors were going to add a single piece that could make a difference in the outcome it was going to be Kevin Durant.

Right now I see it Warriors 4-3 but it'll be close.

If you're tying that to the win column, that's wrong.
1 man has never won a game by himself, let alone a championship.

So I guess Kyrie Irving and his 30pt average over the last 3 games, and game winner in Game 7, didn't have any say in the result..
    Come on, brodie.
You're on some LeBron can do it by himself stuff for some reason..I dunno, maybe ESPN has you brainwashed because they are loving him up right now.
As I said from the outset of this, the Cavs need all the rest they can get.
    Not LeBron.
    Not Kyrie.
    Not Love.
    The Cavs.
    All of them.
There's not any one man they can blame for being 22nd in defensive efficiency this year, and certainly not LeBron.

We agree on the general concept, better teams beat better stars. #Lakers and #Celtics over Michael Jordan

We agree on Cavs needing rest to have a chance. All the Cavs. And all the teams. Ooops the Warriors swept tonight too so they get rest also. Was that you're original point?

We agree that the Cav's "D" is weak.. probably too weak to win this year. Except that they can turn it up whenever they want to it seems. Warriors match up real good on them. On everyone.

We also agree on ESPN's slavering adoration on leboner. EVERY announcer on every SportCenter update is instructed to fluff him for crying out loud. I think he's big shouldered crybaby but he can shoot with either hand and he does have solid moves and court presence. I think Kevin Love has to step up and earn his check. Yesterday his 5/5/2 line was weak for 34minutes; 16/13/0 in 32M; 9/7/1 in 20M; 18/9/1 in 32M shows a fairly erratic output trend in the last series. But they won without being tested too hard.

No shade meant to Kyrie but we watched the Finals and Lebron bull(y)ing his way through the paint in crunch time dominated each game. 36/12/10 and running the show. Plain and simple.

I think we're agreeing that Leboner's team this year doesn't look so strong. But is he?

So you're giving it to the Warriors in 5? 6?

    We don't agree there.

LeBron was obviously great, but Kyrie averaged 30 the last 3 games ( all wins) and hit the most most important crunch time shot in the series.
Kyrie put on a 1 on 1 show, served any and everybody who tried to guard him..all LeBron had to do was watch Kyrie work for stretches.
All to say that, no, LeBron was not out there by himself.

I would not be shocked if the Warriors swept the Cavs.
Spurs beat the Heat 4-1 in 2014..Warriors are better than those Spurs.

Peace, we'll see in a couple weeks. They turned it up last year to win.

All agreed. It takes more than one guy, admitting that his 36/12/10 was great but it takes more than one guy.

    Knock on wood. Let's see.

Nah they were better last year, consistent defensively + caught breaks.
Breaks such as, again, Draymond being suspended, but also Curry's knee not being 100 and Iguodala's back problems

I don't really care who wins, I'm just saying.
Right now the only thing the Warriors are dealing with is their HC's back problem and they didn't need him to win games last year, probably don't need him to win this year either with Durant joining the crew.
They have no Curry knee injury to navigate, no issues with Iguodala's back, no Draymond suspension (yet), but all that could change in an instant

Please someone knock off the obnoxious Warriors, please.

Sick of Draymon's tweets and groin punts, Curry's prancing and poising and Durant for being a gutless quitter (can't beat after being up 3-1, join 'em).

    Fuck them.

The Rockets with D'Antoni and Harden?
    The Spurs?
    LeBron and the media ballwashing?
    The Celtics?

Who am I supposed to root for against the Warriors?
