libs have no room to talk when it comes to awful surgery but Gaetz definitely is sporting a MaxHeadroom look!
Speech was too long and he defaulted to boring generalizations and hyperbole numerous times. But I still liked it (some good stuff in there) and I like the Republican platform. I hope Trump becomes president and most importantly I hope he uses the extra time from God to come to repentance (like we all must do).
He did what he had to do. He wasn't grossly attacking of Biden, he spoke to the entire nation, and he clearly addressed WORKING Americans rather than just Republicans... As for rambling too long ... that's typical of convention speeches. Obama spoke for 90 minutes each in his two conventions acceptances... he's the #1 narcissistic political history, but he won both times because the GOP couldn't put a solid candidate against him. Biden is done. Trump is barreling towards victory. But the machine can still manage to put another puppet Dem in the WH. Kamala or some other empty suit could be POTUS if the GOP fails to get the vote out. Plus, we know the Dems have between 3-4 million illegals they can toss into the ballot box because they've mastered that maneuver. Then there's always dead voters. That's another million. Trump needs 80 million popular votes IMO. I hope and pray that he gets them, too.
in typical RNC fashion there always has to be plenty of room for the ultra cringe as well i didn't watch Dana White, Hulk or Kid rock side show shit or really much of any of it but there were some really good moments that get overshadowed imo and the constant chanting of USA and anything DT says is Orwellian to say the least i get we all know the message and truth is a lot deeper than that but why the need to pump up that Barnum and Bailey kind of thing?
Yeah, I love hulk hogan (no homo). But no place at the RNC. I thought I was joking when I posted Mountain Dew Camacho the other day. But clown world has made idiocracy real.
The dog and pony show seems always to be integral with it. It's like the option you can't do without, but there are many, (like you and me) , that certainly can. Political HR derby. He was friends with many Hollywood types, but deserted and excoriated when the (R) was added after his name. Orwellian is a perfect description to the crowd reaction...spot on. But sophomoric responses like that are part and parcel of these things and deemed absolutely necessary, I think. Imo, it only adds tedium. Probably just me, but I thought the poor brave fireman's uniform who took the fatal hit that day and Trump sort of caressing it was a strange tangent to display. The one thing I don't get get is: that on mainstream media, the national poll is supposed to be very close...within 2 points, or so. If that's true, and it's that close with Covid Joe now, why not go with the dotard?
That business where he talked about the crowd not stampeding because they loved him so much, and all those lives were saved because of how much the crowd loved and was concerned for him made me want to throw up. This narcissism and would be cult of personality stuff is really off putting.
almost turned it off as he continued to reach for the hyperbole and wonderful wonderful beautiful words to describe how people feel about him that's the shit i can look past but understand why it repulses many
Dude had a golden opportunity to completely flip the script and could have walked to a landslide victory. If he pivots to acting like a normal person, with a subdued, factual, unite the country message, he's unstoppable.
The theatrics are obligitory. "USA" every 5 minutes is not much different than "let's go Dodgers". People are rooting for their team to win. The RNC was universally praised this year for putting on a good show.
This is my only real plea to Trump - when given a national platform, just stick to the teleprompter for 3 months.
CNN's Van Jones comments on how excited Trump supporters seem on the final day of the 2024 RNC Convention. "This spirit that this guy has," Van Jones said about his co-panelist Scott Jennings. "You think it is because he's drunk. He isn't! This whole thing is like this. The last time I was in a convention that felt like this was Obama 2008, there is something happening here." Earlier this week, Van Jones: "A bullet couldn't stop Trump. Covid stopped Biden. Trump is having his ass kisssed. Biden is having his ass kicked." Maybe his TDS is in remission?
Yeah, that's a major part of my problem with him, definitely. A lot of references to God, too, and does he worship at all, ever ? "Bless me father, for I have sins...it's been, uh...60 years since my last confession...but thanks for the kill shot miss"! Well that, and the fact that he doesn't care how many animals are needlessly slaughtered by trophy hunting scumbags like his son or son in law, or whoever the fuck these diabolic slime are. The Endangered Species Act needs to be looked at hard, and the grotesque hunting from helicopters blood baths need to be totally outlawed.
