Thats my point. I hate to say it, but if Kershaw turns out to be a post season liability with a career 20.00 era in the post season, would you rather have Bum or Kershaw at this point? It's just becoming painfully clear that the Giants have figured out that formula for having a team perform in the clutch when it needs to.
i don't know about anybody else, but if you told me Kershaw would give up 3 runs in Game 4 vs. the Cards, i'd take that and just hope my offense gets wood.
He has, but this series, and postseason in general, he's been just stone cold. He turns into a different animal in the postseason.
2010: Lakers win NBA Championship 2010: Giants win World Series 2012: La Kings win Stanley Cup 2012: Giants win World Series 2014: La Kings win Stanley Cup 2014: Giants 1 game away AWWWW FUCK
Royals were up 4-1 in game 4 and leading the series 2 games to 1....I smiled. As result, Giants scored 10 unanswered and shutout the Royals in game 5. Sorry baseball gods, I won't do that again.
Actually, when you hear Bumgarner, he sounds like a red-ass, like a real jerk-off. He sounds like someone who drinks a few beers at his local dive bar, then get's belligerent. BUT, that's probably what you need to get through a tough playoff game. Some red-ass. Kershaw seems way too nice in some ways.
Kershaw gets plenty mad..he just gets mad at himself and not at guys who get the best of him like Bumgarner does. it only seems like Bumgarner's stone cold because he's performing well and not encountering much adversity..i've seen 1st hand that when people get the best of him he acts like a little bitch at times.
