Would you give up DeLeon and Holmes for Chapman?

 

It might take another FO to get a Chapman deal done. Friedman's not usually the guy adding major money relievers. Love to have him, though, obviously.

Wouldn't shock me if the Rays sold McGee because they're still willing to make these kinda deals post-Friedman, but they are in the post-season race, so it also wouldn't shock me if they didn't sell McGee.

I would not. I'd probably give DeLeon straight up but people here will disagree.

 

Huge get for Detroit. Norris is going to anchor that rotation for years to come all while becoming the next Jack Kerouac.

 

I think it'd be a high price, but the dream of Jansen and Chapman at the backend in the playoffs is just incredible.

As you said, in games where CK and ZG, we could go with only those four pitching for us. That almost gurparantees 4 wins a series.

 

No. I'm lower than Holmes than most but he's still good. But De Leon is legit as hell and what Chapman would bring wouldn't be enough

 

Also I don't want to be in a Papelbon/Storen spot w Jansen.

 

The Reds were said to want a "Cueto Package" for Chapman. So maybe start with Holmes/De Leon, and add lower level arms like Cotton or Anderson etc.

 

Would much rather have McGhee for the pound of flesh it's going to take.

Last thing I saw was "paperwork". Paco is on a rehab assignment now and of course the aforementioned Olivera being on the minor league d/l for his hammy so it's logical that is also pending physicals.
