This is something previous teams couldnt do....come back aggressively from behind. This is a potentially series turning win. And f*ck anyone who says that was a dirty play by Utley. Dont f*ck with the Dodgers!!!
Wow, what a game. Greinke pitched his ass off after one mistake and a fucking lucky hit, the offense battled(though still looked like shit a majority of the game), Utley just dropped himself into Dodgers lore from a positive for once(hate the game, not the player), Hatcher looks like a boss and Kershaw is gonna get a chance to redeem himself in less extreme conditions. Gonna have to drive up Harvey's pitch count. Their bullpen is their Achilles heal, and we need to make them pay for that. Sorry to see Tejada got hurt, but besides actually slapping the bag on the way through, there is nothing I would have asked for Utley to do differently. Lineup from here on out should include Kike and Ellis, with Crawford on the bench.
Q. You mentioned playing with aggression and passion. Tejada's back was turned on the play. It's a defenseless player. Is there a line to be drawn? TERRY COLLINS: I don't -- you're going in hard, you're sliding, you really don't have a chance to make an adjustment when all of a sudden he starts to turn his back to make a throw. Where he was at in the play, he just continues. He can't make a change.
I get why Mets fans would be upset. They have every right to be, but until MLB changes that rule, it's still going to happen and there is nothing anyone can do about it
I think we can get to Harvey. Just need to get to that horrid bully of theirs. I know we're ones to talk, but alas...
Pedro Martinez threw old man Don Zimmer to the ground and is trying to talk trash about Utley haha. What a fucking hypocrite.
If Utley was trying to injure Tejada, he actually fucked up. Slammed him hard on the left knee and his left leg was fine. I keep watching the replay and I'm actually confused. He broke his right leg even though it was never touched? WTF?
If Harvey throws at a single one of our guys it should be an instant ejection. That is the way they are calling the game now. If they warn both dugouts before we get ours, I'll be FUCKING PISSED.
Right leg got caught under Utley at first when he slid in. Watch as it goes in the air, you can tell it is broken.
That's just bad luck then. Had little to do with how hard Utley ran into him, and more to do with dumb bad luck.
