I'm hoping against hope Kershaw and the rest can survive and get Grienke the ball for game 5. Although I'm scared of Kershaw on three days rest or depending on Anderson doesn't inspire confidence for the NLCS.
Not worried about Kersh, he will dominate the first 6 innings, just take his ass out immediately after that.
Worried about the offense though, cause they fucking suck. It's amazing our truly shit our team is, we have 2 great pitchers, rest of the sp's are shit, bullpen is shit, and the offense is even worse. Where the fuck is this money being spent? None of these fucks are worth it. This "team" needs to be blown up and rebuilt.
Interesting post...especially to an east coaster ( too busy being a tough guy and shit). Had no idea really it was like that, as what I have read about these guys since they came on, is adulation and lots of "thank God that douchebag McCourt is gone". Seems like different faces, same shit. And for even more $ than Frank spent. At least we had Jaimie to ogle...lol. Seems like all the LAD " saviors" the last few seasons, called for so vehemently and desperately, like Puig, Peterson, most recently Seager, had their day and shining moments, but certainly not enough to equal the other teams, which are constructed so much better than the Dodgers, even with the fabulous depth we have.
how many times in my lifetime have i felt like "if we can get this game" only to be led to the execution of my post season dreams? if not for an Utley slide we are already on vacation good bye donniedouchebag and 2015 season its been familiar if nothing else
Oh, BTW, just wanted to add my tuppence about the 13-7 playoff laugher embarrassment and direct it at the true culprit, Jimmy Rollins. So, uh...ah...fuck you Rollins!
Welp, fucked again thanks to #VeteranPresents, Rollins in the game for some dumb fucking reason and he makes a mistake on a routine play and the floodgates open up. Anderson is out of that inning without giving up a run and we likely are looking at a whole different end to that ballgame. Carl Crawford and Rollins also both continue to look like shit at the dish, so that was a nice plus. Hoping we saw the last game of Carl Crawford as a Dodger last night as I fully expect the FO to do with him, what they did with Kemp. This team needs to get some serious young talent. The Cubs look like a dynasty in the making and now I'm more disappointed than ever that they got Martinez and not us. This is going to be another busy busy off season for the front office as they try to clean up the mess that McCourt and Colletti left them. This year was a good start of inserting some young talent, I look forward to seeing how they right the ship so that the team can compete with stacked young cores like the Cubs, Mets and D'Backs in the NL.
A lot of our problems will go away today if our offense can fucking rake. Against a lefty, we need our lefty mashers to mash God dammit I almost felt a sliver of optimism, gotta bring myself down before I get excited
One week ago, and for most of the season, my mindset was World Series or bust. Win the World Series or I feel the season sucked Now all I want is just one damn series win. Considering how I feel right now, making it just to the NLCS will feel amazing. Damn
Honestly, I won't oppose any optimism. Why be miserable? Kershaw needs to win one game. And that's kind of it. Just get it to a game 5. We usually flop before we get to a game 5 or 7. Don't do that.
Eddy Julio still not officially with the Cubbies. He's doin his Deandre Jordan thing. Giants still in the mix..if that makes it any better. Haha But yeah, they got the ball rolling on cleaning up the last regime's shit. Still work to do. Cotton, Urias, and De Leon aren't far away. Outside of allowing DBB to continue on for this season, my one gripe was not signing Andrew Miller.
I don't even look at it as "Kershaw and Greinke need to win 2 in a row". I just look at it as Kershaw vs Matz and we need to win this game. If there was ever a time to take it "one game at a time" it's now.
Don's gotta manage with all hands on deck It's lame as hell that Jansen has only thrown one inning. Hatcher has thrown what, 2? Hatcher and Jansen gotta be ready to go like 4 innings combined
If Mattingly wants to stick around, and say Kershaw Kershaw's where he gets in trouble in the 6th or 7th, you bring Jansen in and let him pitch out of it and then one more inning. It's like he's incapable of ever thinking outside of the box even in the most side of situations
Still can't believe that idiot sat Corey. I need to see Howie and Turner hitting ahead of Corey who should be ahead of AGon tonight. If that's not the order, DBB should be fired upon delivering the lineup. Howie Turner Corey AGon After that I don't give a shit.
