I know some are injured but Dodgers have been touting young arms and they can't even plan right to get one of them to start over whatever the fuck Tepesch is??
JDL has only pitched 15 innings this season, and the others (Oaks and Stewart) are just in their 2nd year in pro ball. They don't seem to want to throw him on just 4 days rest. He has been far better on 5+ days: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?id=maedake01&year=2016&t=p
Not gonna rush anybody up, not young (Cotton, JDL, Montas, Oaks, Stewart), not older (Ryu, McCarthy) Could they have gone to the more recognizable Frias? Perhaps, of course he was just up, but we all know Frias walks guys. Tepeche is walking guys at a much less rate, albeit over only 3 starts, but he's also only 27 and has more show experience, 39 starts to Frias' 15. Also could mean they're looking to sustain some of the young guys' value and not hurt them ahead of the trade deadline, just playing it safe, just in case. It sometimes gets weird when the trade deadline is around the corner and of course it's just a month away now
Absolutely not. He's already just trying to adjust to pitching every 5th day in the american game. Wouldn't be fair to him nor his contract stipulations
Tepesch was with the Rangers and had an elbow issue that took his 2015 away. Big guy at 6'4"and 27, hard to gauge how he pitches when he comes from the AL but has experience. Gives up too many HR's but again that was in the AL, who knows.
His 3 starts @ OKC, 3-0 record, 18IP, 2.00ERA, 17K, 3 walks I'm rooting for him, hopefully it translates for at least 2 or 3 starts and helps bridge them
Plus he has a practically new elbow so fingers and toes crossed, like you wrote if we can get 3 good solid starts we can let Ryu et al get healthy.
Wood? Isn't he one of your " he's garbage" guys like Puig, Gonzalez, Grandal, Kazmir, Kike, Crawford, Baez, Ellis, Bolsinger, Turner, etc.? Doesn't look like he's returning anytime very soon.
