Yes I could easily be happy. This year Sale is the guy. Last year Hamels was the guy. The year before and before that? (fill in the blanks). There is an obvious guy every year and I, for one, am sick as shit of seeing another team get him. Rarely are the Dodgers the team to acquire or sign "The guy". We got close with Ned and Newb GuGGs but that's all over now. Now it's headscratchers and overly complicated cutesy shit that has had a huge backfire rate.

Yeah, their record is oh so tantalizingly great but the G'nats seem to be awakening and getting healthy and we're STILL not built to go deep in the playoffs.

So what do you think the Dodgers should give up for mercurial Sale who btw doesnt have the best ERA among starters on his own team.
For the record i think Sale is awesome and have no issues with his personality. On the contrary the dude is a gamer that plays balls out and and goes for the win at the cost of everything else.
Would you give up the house for him?
Urias, DeLeon, Verdugo, Bellinger, and Puig?

I would up the ante and give them

White Sox said they want 5 young prospects. I'm not giving them that, you could argue that Andrew Miller affects alot more of the game than Sale because he can pitch virtually everyday. The Yankees got 4 prospects for him. 3 of the top 15 plus a player in the low minors is all I am giving them.

    That one player was Hershiser.

Gibson was 4-26 in that series.

Really hope we can get David Price or Cole Hamels today.

Sounds like Bruce is going somewhere in the NL, but is apparently not LA or SF. I wonder if the Cardinals have come in to try to do something since they're about as beat up as us. Otherwise, Nationals or Mets? Not sure he makes sense for either, but nothing about this trade deadline has made any sense.

So Passan is saying it is the Mets in the lead right now for Bruce. LOL, their OF defense would be... interesting.

You're on a roll here, Darth...and a good one too.
What you write is absolutely true.
There will always be people who will argue with you, and after being told about depth over and over, which is without question, what we do have, how do we not at least get someone to help fill at least ONE of the holes. Isn't that the other thing depth is for?
It's always "I wouldn"t pay them that much", or " no way they get those prospects"...does anyone really think that every one of these MiL guys will be a star?
    Wtf? Is this Oz ?
And the bullshit from the we don't need to "win now" crowd is the most pathetic, imo.
These FO guys that we argue about come with really nice salaries and their golden reps... so isn't this the time their "genius' genes should ge kicking in big time and be creative with ideas to improve the team?
Isn't this what they get paid for?
Since 1988, we are losers to the nth degree...just when, exactly when, would be the right time to go for it, ya think?
The Dodgers are the team they are picking to do something really big today, so maybe we will be rewarded with a great move/ moves.
    About 7 hours left...go FO...go!

Hershiser was as good as it gets, and wasn't called "bulldog' by Tommy for nothing.
A history making pitcher that I believe is under appreciated by many.

    I like an Archer move.
His stuff is freaky good. Honeycutt will fix any flaws he has...
A good bb friend who lives in Tampa tells me that Moore has even more potential than Archer, as he watches the team every day.
Either one sounds good, and should be somewhat up the alley for the FO as far as the economy aspects.

I would rather Moore go to the Yanks and their crappy announcer can do all the puns he wants. Give us Archer.

Chris Archer, Steve Pearce, Josh Reddick, and a reliever will all be wearing Dodger blue at 4 ET! I can feel it!

I don't know if I should check my phone throughout the day or just wait until I get home in the afternoon.
