Why does have the feeling of a must win game? I just don't think the Gnats are going to lay an egg today like they did yesterday. And 3 back sounds infinitely worse than 2 for some reason.
Lol Literally have no idea what to expect as far as the order today Could keep Howie leading off vs LHP or go back to Kike and move Howie to 3 to protect Corey some But hell, JT is basically bullet proof with the 3 spot, so who knows? He sucks to high heavens against LHP, but that hasn't stopped him from being plugged into the 3 spot before. They might need some crazy Coors magic tonight, get Anderson out ASAP, foul'em off and go deep into counts Be scrappy, I think Reddick plays for that reason alone, bat control guy who doesn't produce much against LHP, but he also doesn't K much against them, still a high contact guy
OK, so it looks like Tyler Anderson is actually a lefty that gets righties out at a way better clip. Lefties-r-us tonight then...I think.
Howie Corey JT SVS Adrian Kike Joc AJ Is the official lineup tonight. So against a LHP who handles righty bats better than he does lefty bats..Reddick sits and SVS plays. Alrighty then.
@BillShaikin: Of 274 MLB players vs LHP (min 50 PA), Josh Reddick is tied for 270th in OPS, at .413. He's on bench vs LHP today: https://t.co/yClIApSNGp/s/gkIX
My goodness. Basically tied for the worst hitter in baseball against LHP. I think he's a good addition. But I hope from a developmental standpoint, we aim higher. We need to groom some real hitters. L/R proof, hit with volume, pop, OBP. Not these one demensional guys. I rally hope Joc develops some more over the next couple years.
The thought of AJ actually being out there disturbs me. He's maybe the only guy I can think of who should consistently hit behind any of our pitchers.
Did anyone mention that Brock is pitching tonight......what is the over under for the #of runs the Rockies will score tonight???
Not sure, but I do know it's far too early to label the fella a bum Just hopefully LAD can give him some support Would hate to see him go say 5 innings, give up 2 or 3 runs meanwhile LAD has 0 on the board
I think Joc will develop fine. He has made improvements every year and next year seems to me to be the year he puts it all together. Probably will project to having a .255 .345 .485 slash line. That would be good for about 30 HR, 30 doubles, and 90 RBI making him a legit #5 hitter.
Dodgers place RHP Louis Coleman (right shoulder fatigue) and LHP Adam Liberatore (left elbow inflammation, retroactive to 7/30) on DL. Good thing we have Chavez.
Oh and both Lou Coleman and Libby go to the DL Los Angeles DodgersVerified account @Dodgers 4m4 minutes ago The Dodgers have recalled RHP Brock Stewart (tonight’s starter) and Josh Fields and LHP Julio Urías from @okc_dodgers.
