He's still part of the organization so he's still an option. And also he still gives us the best chance to win
Bill Plunkett 23rd time this season a #Dodgers starting pitcher has failed to complete five innings, 6th since the All-Star break, 2nd in row for McCarthy. Jeez.
Doubt it. He has been dropped and is not coming back. GM's comment is as cold as they come. He is being shopped and will be flipped for whatever in a waiver trade. Right now he is just in OKC to play well enough to have his stock not plunge even further. Because he wasnt going to play RF anymore and CF is Joc's and Howie has LF. So lets hope he tears the cover off the ball in OKC so we can get a veteran left handed bat off some team that wants Puigs future potential. Hopefully we can trade him to the White Sox for Adam Eaton, another hard working scrappy white guy who plays the right way works hard does his job on defense and has little power but is a good enough hitter. He is also good against lefties annd is a RF who can play CF and leadoff. Him and Reddick are very similar production wise but Eaton can play everyday as he isnt horrible against righties. They seem to like Cubans over there.
like/agree with most of what you said but eaton would signal and end to joc and i don't think the front office is ready to do that
Lol I would pay to see Kenny Williams' reaction to a Puig for Eaton offer I doubt they're getting anything of worth for Puig, certainly not Eaton, possibly not anybody on anybody's 25 man roster. Just get a prospect or two, couple low-mid level relievers and call it a day. Eaton's a corner guy now, took a major step back in CF last year, but he's a hell of a player in the RF corner...better than Reddick defensively, also only 27yrs old, no chance.
Eaton has a career .291 AVG and .361 OBP against LHP tho, so he's not like the other LAD lefties. Doesn't matter tho, they aren't getting a solid ballplayer like Eaton for Puig. They'd have a better chance of getting Melky and really they have no chance there either, not if we're talking a 1 for 1 swap.
We're gonna be swept. Playing Colorado right now in Coors Field was the worst thing schedule wise that could happen to this team.
Yeah the fo really laid an egg in terms of balancing the roster. Easy to see why a smart fo like the giants stacked their team with lefty pitchers.
