Well if Roberts didnt really care about this game, the team better not waste an effort by Kershaw on Monday when Roberts basically played every position player he had. This is not a time to give up wins....but if that was intentional....we'd better win tomorrow.
STOP with the intentional loss thoughts. It's not like he sent out a position player to pitch, these guys have been with us the entire year and they failed but so did our offense for most of the game. We all wanted them to win but it wasn't in the cards. Now let's go win at least 1 against the hated ones.
Our offense failed? Are we talking about the same game? Whoa...did you know they scored 9 runs and came back from a 6-0 deficit? Best O in days, after the LH made the team look like shit for 4 innings or so. Btw, no one really thinks he lost on purpose...but he didn't go after a win like he normally would have...no way.
he started out hot he has been on the bench since then thats why it seems that he hasnt been hot he just hasnt played much he averages 2 at bats a game basically and usually against lefties which he has trouble with but not nearly as much trouble as most of the other OF on the team
not really only .013 lower ba against lefties and the same -.013 in obp and his slugging is significantly higher .457 vs. .385 or were you talking about specific lefties?
For the most part, better? We only scored in 3 innings and had 8 LOB. We only got 3 out of JDL so we had to use the pen ahead of a huge series so we needed someone to go extended innings and that was Strip. Doc made alot of pitching changes for match ups which showed he wanted this game. Blanton/Kenley pitched each of the last 3 days so he was hamstrung.
