Must be why Draymond Green is so focused on dongs on and off the court, must have picked it up from Jackson. Never surprised to hear of an athlete, present or former..religious or not, banging a stripper. OT, every time I wanna watch ESPN playoff coverage I gotta see Billups and be reminded of how he bust GP's ass in the '04 Finals, damn them
Lakers 101@LALakers101 4m4 minutes ago The Lakers offered a sneak preview of their new training facility #Lakers #NBA http://sport-ne.ws/45hv
Rondo booed in the Garden. Beverley gets into it with a "fan" (or owners son) Morris vs. Millsap Seems like there are some good storylines. But I just can't seem to care for some reason. Either I'm just getting old, or the NBA doesn't have the same luster it used to.
Now you see that's precisely why you can't know it's still about as competitive as it was in the 80's
Eric Stephen@truebluela The Lakers trailed 41-12 in 1989 against the Sonics and won. Not sure how Cavs' 26-pt comeback is the largest in NBA playoff history Good point.
That's probably most of it. But I've always enjoyed watching the other teams too. Part of it is the players. I liked the guys from the 80s, 90s and even 2000s. Even when I was rooting against them, or the Lakers weren't involved. Other than LeBron, Harden whom I can't stand. I really don't have an opinion one way or another about most of the star players today.
It's about time for LAL to actually win this draft lottery and pick #1 overall. Heard/seen all the BS about the lotto being rigged for LAL to get Wiggins and Towns #1 overall in the past..well, where's a rigging when you it? Forget just keeping the pick. LAL needs #1 and Josh Jackson. Don´t know how it would work out A to Z, but I´ve also convinced myself that Magic should save CP3 from the Clipper madness this summer. Do know that there´s no clear-cut landing spot for CP3 this summer in FA, and that LAL would more than likely have to make a trade for Paul George first and foremost to get CP3´s attention as well as clear the necessary cap space to sign him outright. So Bird would maybe have to be willing to take on some salary, which means LAL would more than likely have to sweeten a deal for George considerably in that scenario. But maybe Magic will be willing to shuffle the deck a little bit.
Cant shoot 3's or FT's. Only a decent catch and shoot guy but with bad and slow mechanics it becomes even less effective against NBA players. Good man on man defense instincts and hustle, but not good team/help defender and cant recover well once he is beat. Looks better because he plays mostly vs PF in college but is thin and that wont be his game in the NBA. In the NBA he will play SF/SG and things will be much more difficult for him since he doesnt have that combo of length, power, and speed that elite wings have right now. He is very athletic for a PF but not for a SF/SG. And he seems to have some off the field issues. Road raged some girl from his school. Kicked in her door and headlights or something. Then was charged with a hit and run too.
Would you agree to a Phil Jackson proposed trade of Melo, Courtney Lee, and Lance Thomas for Clarkson, Thomas Robinson, Mozgov, Deng, and the recently acquired late first round pick? PG: Fox or Ball with Russell getting some backup PG minutes. SG: Russell w/Lee providing defense and shooting as the main backup. SF: Ingram w/Young providing defense and shooting as the main backup. PF: Melo w/Nance jr as his main backup. C : Randle w/Zubac as his main backup. Those 9 regulars plus Ennis, Black, Nwamba, Thomas, Brewer as the reserves. Even with Melo I think we become a better defensive team. Specially moving him to PF full time and Russell to SG most of the time.
Wings hardly ever go #1 overall in general. The last two that did, some pretty big named guys - James and Wiggins - both had jump shots that needed work. Shooting is the easiest part of the game to work on. Also, slot/pick is more so geared towards the field and the needs of teams year in and year out, and the Lakers need more defense/2 way talent at this point.
I'll always love the game, played competitively a bunch of years both here and overseas, so I just appreciate the professional caliber of play in general. NCAA/amateur ball is where I lose interest..well, other than checking up on the top players and wondering where they'll eventually play their pro ball.
