Had some great defense behind him. Some sweet DPs and cannon shot from Kike. We were there and had a great angle on that play. Last one I saw that in person was Joe Ferguson cutting in front of Jimmy Wynn and cutting down Sal Bando at the plate in the '74 Series.
We were there, too. Only go to a couple of games a year, but we got a good one this time to say the least. Thought they were sunk after blowing so many chances, but I underestimated the magic in this team. Kyle Fucking Farmer?
i still remember watching that on tv one of the most unbelievable throws i've ever seen arguably the greatest in ws history side note... my dad took me to game 2 of that series remember marshall picking off washington still the loadest stadium roar i've ever heard in person...
Beltre was my favorite Dodger for a while and i remember being so pissed when he was no longer a Dodger. And it was bullshit too.
Kike has improved a lot this year, at least vs lefties. what if he takes another leap next year? the guy is still pretty young and can play everywhere he is becoming the super utility guy he was supposed to be what if he starts hitting righties decently enough and is our next Turner type and becomes a regular? cuz the dude has power and versatility and can hit lefties, all he needs is to be decent against righties to be a ton more valuable of a player.
I've been singing Kyle's praises throughout this season, following him on milb.tv and posting his accomplishments in the minor league thread. Thought he would be in a position to help but NEVER imagined him doing this to the Gnats on National TV.
that was the only series game i've seen my dad must have known someone because we sat in the (now extinct) press level funny because that's the only moment i really remember form the game
those kind of erections are hard to come by explosive eyes rolling back, scream and fall off the ass stuff
ive never been to one even then i thought it was outrageous to pay that much and our ticket sources for freebies (vendors) have dried up now don't think i'm ever going to go to a series game cause after i saw projected prices last year no way almost nothing more i'd want to do but just can't justify it
We were working in the press box that weekend. Running copies for reporters, drinking free booze and eating free food.
Didn't see the center field shot of the Farmer AB until today (was at the game). He beat a really good pitch. Looked to be just a bit off the plate, but too close to take in that situation.
I've had world series tickets every year since 2013 and have had to toss them each year. Sad thing. Not 100 percent sure I will have them or not this year. I'm not the primary account holder. I attended game 3 of the 2013 LDS against the Braves (win) and the NLCS game against the Cardinals where Puig tripled off the RF wall (win). Oh...and an LDS game against the Nationals last year where Ruiz hit a pinch hit HR (loss).
that would be awesome yeah i've been to playoff games, five i think last one was the kershaw meltdown against stl or at least that is the one i can't forget probably as stinging as any loss in a game of any team i support ever i was in a bad mood for a couple of days when i've checked WS pricing on seats during LCS or whatever recently they are around a grand just to get in the park no fucking way i'm paying anything close to that to sit at the stadium idc if i just sold a million dollar property that is just a non starter for me and would affect my ability to enjoy the game all the same the days of freebies coming from businesses for selling their stuff is pretty much over i was given tickets to two super bowls back in the day (at least the family was) and saw the dolphins perfect season and oakland beat minnesota in pasadena thats the only way normal people typically get a chance to see those kind of games live don't care how much i make i'm always going to have a problem spilling out the prices for top events therefore i will always likely watch on tv unless i get lucky could happen lol
