LAL VS Utah tonight Walton on Kuzma: “He’s proven nothing but the fact that he’s going to be a consistent player, so now, although I don’t think most rookies are consistent, he’s changed my mind as far as he’s concerned.” Walton says that experimenting with starting Kyle Kuzma is on the ‘debate table,’ but right now they like what he brings from the bench. Walton wants Kyle Kuzma to work on late-game situations, understanding that you’ve got to rely on those second, third and fourth options in the offense (rather than just picking and popping). Walton said Ingram came into camp ‘a little banged up,’ so he hasn’t been able to put in the pre and post-practice work that he was used to which could be affecting his game (Ingram didn’t agree though, or at least did not want to use that as an excuse).
Our starting lineup hasn't even taken the floor yet. I don't think they're a playoff team but I still think they will be an improvement over the last two years.
You know, I actually like the starting lineup they've been going with lately..of course Zo goes in for Ennis, but you know what I mean. I think their only chance to truly be in the mix for the 8th seed is if their 2nd unit is just damn good. And if Randle, Kuzma, Clarkson, Hart and Zu ( or Bogut or Bryant) is your 2nd unit there's at least a chance at that. They definitely have depth. So much so that I didn't even list Deng or Brewer there and we know they're gonna play at least some. What they'd be doing with that, outside of loading up the 2nd unit with talent, is relying on Zo to make Nance/Ingram/KCP better in the starting lineup. It could work from a fit standpoint rotation-wise. Come out and establish that early and then shuffle the rotations in the 2nd period of every half in a way where Zo is usually on the floor with Nance, Zu, Brewer, Clarkson..basically our guys that need the most help. The 1st inefficient game of the off-season for Kuzma last night..I think. And he still had 18pts. I think Randle and Kuzma in the 2nd unit could be a handful for opposing teams.
Zo was playing some impressive defense too before he got hurt Of course he actually got hurt blocking a guy..was a hell of a block tho
Zo, Clarkson, Ennis, Caruso KCP, Hart, Brewer, Blue Ingram, Kuzma, Deng Randle, Nance Lopez, Zubac, Bryant, Bogut Bogut is probably insurance. Deng and Brewer and just there, possibly as potential trade fillers since our other pieces are mostly low salaried. Ennis, Caruso and Blue are fodder for the practice squad. KCP and Lopez are veterans playing for big deals. Randle wants to show the position is his and is also playing for a contract and needs to stave off Nance and now Kuzma. Nance was ready to be the energy difference maker off the bench this year but Kuzma is stealing everyone's thunder. Hart and Bryant have had some nice views and hopefully will be pushed to meet the level of consistency that Kuzma has displayed as a lowly drafted prospect with some surprising upside. If Kuzma, Bryant, and Hart can become this class of Clarkson, Nance, and Zubac our home grown 'free' prospects pool will be huge. That is 6 players which you would normally not count as real assets on a team. Guys that are not lottery picks. We have manufactured hopefully 6 of these guys to compliment our high draft picks and FA. To have 6 of these free players all become productive on your team within a 2 or 3 year period is practically unheard of. Its like the Dodgers creating this pool of Chris Taylors, Alex Woods, Austin Barnes, Cingranis, etc... through trading for other teams leftover stew meat cthat we turn into mouth watering braised bbq pulled beef.

And Chris Bosh continuing to show up for LAL practices has to make one wonder wtf is up Pelinka's sleeve.. https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...is-bosh-free-agent-coaching-training-facility
Wait till Kobe announces he is back from retirement. Lonzo, Kobe, LeBron, Bosh, Cousins Wade and Melo off the bench. So many fans heads would explode for all sorts of basketball reasons.
Kuzma shouldn't start next to Ingram because Larry and Julius don't belong on the floor together, so if kuzma starts, Ingram doesn't
Rotations don't always work that way. Plus, Nance is basically a bum offensively. Even if he starts, if he plays more than say 16-20 minutes a night, they're going to suck. Really suck.
