What a loser. That team will not get better with age. Are they just hoping to drag along with Melo and Westbrook and then hope something happens 2 years from now? I think PG13 was just too scared of the spotlight and wanted the money instead. Can't believe he made the choice to stay with such a badly managed organization.
Exactly my thoughts. What a loser. Stay with Russ and Melo and have zero chance of going anywhere. Hope the money is worth it.
PG: Ball 28, VanFleet 20 SG: Hart 28, Ingram 20 (34) SF: Lebron 34, Ingram 14 PF: Kuzma 28, Randle 20 (34) C : Cousins 34, Randle 14
I dont get the thunder. They wont pay about five dollars in luxury tax to keep Russ, kd and harden together, but they'll pay an NBA record luxury tax bill for Russ, Carmelo and george to lose in the first round.
At the time they probably had low cash reserves since it was shortly after they purchased the team. Now that the team makes them lots of money it is better to keep things going so they can sell more first round playoff tickets and keep the season ticket money flowing.
Most amazing part is that OKC fans are celebrating as if this means they're going deep into the playoffs or like they're going to see them hoist a championship trophy. They're fucked and they don't even know it. People on twitter talking about " big win for OKC! " Lol
But their luxury tax hit will be $130M. Their total payroll with the tax will be close to $300M? For THAT lineup that got booted in the first round. Low cash reserves or not, this is currently not a good deal. OKC will be on a massive salary dump and rebuild situation next year if it doesn't look like OKC is going to make waves. Then that org will be a flaming pile of crap for awhile. And don't think they will luck out in the draft three years in a row like the first time around.
Yeah Klay is locked Butler is breaking down physically Fuck both of them Best player in the game has already been trending westward, is already heavily interested in LAL..need to lock LeBron in. Kawhi is obviously great, but he doesn't give a rat's ass about which LA team he plays for, he just wants to play in LA at the end of the day LeBron gives a damn
Durant's new contract will give the Dubs flexibility with Klay and Dray's upcoming free agency. They are going to ride it all the way.
That's for guys like you and me to worry about. Gotta beat inflation if you have real money. Scared money can't do that.
