Official: Anthony Davis inks with team LeBron/agency Looks like Kuz could be switching over to Rich Paul as well " Shit, I see what y'all are doing with AD. I wanna stay. Don't trade me, bro. Trade BI and Zo. " - Kuz
my kid has a rich friend w season seats and she's been trying to get us tickets for a while now she just asked me if i wanted to see the hornets on 2/27 or the flippers on 3/4 i'm going for the flips they have awesome seats in the 100s just off center court like 7 rows back not gonna lie i'm looking forward to this
Don't know how the Rockets could swing it, but they're trying for Jimmy Butler Nets and Miami are probably the front runners, Sixers with some level of interest - if I'm the Sixers I'm not mixing Butler with those young, big ego superstar kids they have
[no homo] Zo definitely hit the weight room Lol Javale now taking questions at the podium, they're definitely going long
Reportedly Rondo will start at PG, which isn't really news since Zo is still working his way back from the knee. But it'll be interesting to see how slow they go with Zo since they have a ton of backhandlers now. Luke's been working with Lance on running the offense, so Lance might be backup PG and that could open up some early SF minutes for Svi to make his mark
More than likely, but not starting, not over Rondo. Have to imagine that Ingram will play some more PG, though, potentially more PG work than Lance will get since they've said they're going to lean on Kuz and Ingram a bunch.
Honorable mention - Jordan brand Moe Lol Moe seriously signed a shoe contract with Jordan brand earlier this month
I have those shoes in blue and white. Found them at a marshalls years ago for 50 bucks. Too bad the sole peeled off. Then again I had them in the garage for almost a decade before I decided to wear them.
So many now running with " AD to the Lakers by next season ". With a year left on his contract at that point, and more than likely other suitors having varying levels of interest, Magic and Rob would have to make a respectable offer if they want in on the sweepstakes. Given that Deng's 5M a year is now on the books moving forward, they actually may not mind moving some salary, but of course if they wait until free agency to make their run at AD they'd be able to move him into cap space and wouldn't have to match salaries to make a trade work. But again, there will be other teams with varying levels of interest..and Rich Paul will probably do his best to ward them off, but some team will be willing to give up enough to peak the Pels' interest and rent AD..maybe Boston since most of their ammo is only draft based, but they could also throw in Gordon Hayward. But with Boston, there's always the threat of losing a big FA to the Lakers and that's a loss they probably want to avoid, so if Paul is adamant that Davis would leave Boston for the Lakers, Boston maybe ducks out at that point. Still, I imagine some team will offer up enough to perhaps push LAL to offer up solid value for AD. So in my estimation, and it sucks to say before a whole season plays out with all the excitement, but Ingram is probably what it's going to take to get AD. Making just north of 7M next year, Ingram actually represents the 3rd largest chunk of salary on the payroll for '19/'20. I certainly don't expect LAL to go crazy with their offer and just offer Ingram + Kuz + Zo + picks..that's out more than likely..Magic and Rob would say fuck that and just wait until year #3 with LeBron to sign AD as a FA. But if the Pels' are reasonable, Ingram + Bonga + future 1st rounders could do it.
I know I should be more excited about the Lakers, but for some reason I'm not. Can't really explain it, but I'm just kinda meh. Anyone else?
Haven't cared since 2010. I'm not a frontrunner, as I became a Laker fan during the Smush era. I just have a hard time rooting for a bunch of guys I have little or no respect for. Yes, some of my favorite athletes have made mistakes (Kobe, Tiger), but they seemed like men to me...highly intelligent and unprecedented work ethic. These current players, while I have no doubt work hard, are mostly retards. Which is why I cannot stand Bellinger, btw. I also hate how the national media shoves the NBA down our throats. The NBA isn't the most popular sport in any market (yes, the Dodgers are more popular than the Lakers, the Red Sox more than the Celtics, Yankees than the Knicks, Cubs/Bulls, etc etc)...yet the national conversation devotes so much damed time to it. Snooze. I just don't like anything about the NBA. One less sport to give a shit about.
Kids like it. Kids buy stuff. Nobody buys football or baseball cleats except athletes. Every kid buys basketball shoes.
