NBA might has at least 2 teams that are going to sport some type of twin towers situation next year. Nets will have Jarrett Allen and Deandre Jordan + KD who is also really tall. Now the Blazers have Nurkic and Whiteside to form a massive twin towers of two guys that operate at a high level. I know Whiteside is not the same dude as before but that is only because he hates Pat Riley. He will be happy smoking all the weed he wants with the Blazers. Sixers will have Embiid and Horford who is not a 7 footer but is one of the better centers in the game + Simmons and Harris are both as tall as Horford. They want to go all towers. If Kawhi is no longer an option then the best bet is to split the 32M between Boogie, JaMychal Green and Danny Green 12M each for two years since Kawhi is probably going to sign a 2 year deal with the Raps. PG: LeBron, Caruso SG: Danny, Daniels SF: Kuzma, Iggy PF: AD, Dudley C : Boogie, JaMychal

You know, I want Kawhi on the Lakers because he's a top 5 player. But this drawing out the FA signing thing is a giant douche move. Lakers, Clips and Raptors are all dancing like puppets for him, and two of the three are gonna get screwed because he's got his thumb up his ass. Don't really want another self-absorbed douche on the team.
Like what I've seen thus far from Joe Young in summer league, effectively picking up full court defensively. If he can do that, plus already having played for Vogel in Indy he may stand a chance at making the roster
Looked like a Skip Bayless post. Kawhi may be in the process of actually leaving the team that he just won the championship with..and he basically won the championship just a couple weeks ago, so this is new territory for FA stars. They've waited this long and later to make their decision, but none were coming off a championship win. If he's behind, so be it. I know I won't be complaining or feeling sorry for teams. These franchises are misdiagnosing injuries, pressuring hurt guys to play, etc. Everybody is gambling to some degree. It's part of the game. No tears. You sit down at the table, be prepared to lose.
Great player and I wouldn't be mad at him for choosing Toronto but he's holding us up in free agency. Jalen Rose must be kicking himself for his quotes after Cris Carter (apparently an uncle too) said it's not imminent.
ESPN whoring Jalen out now when Woj is busy. Lol Greenberg pumping him up as a guy who knows stuff. Jalen made a couple easy predictions like AD winding up with the Lakers, and he admitted that he didn't even have a plug for that, said he drew the conclusion from AD's hiring of Rich Paul. Shit, I did the same thing..was actively watching the Pels' record from the 1st week of the season. Jalen probably saw Kawhi was heading to Toronto for the meeting and just figured he'd go with that, it fits his narrative, he's been pushing for Kawhi to go back to Toronto, probably feels he has skin in the game since he's a former Raptor himself. But Jalen also just predicted that Durant would be a Knick..also that Westbrook would be a Laker a couple years back. Carter is definitely the better source
Jalen even said his prediction was a mic drop. Would love to see how he backtracks if he goes to the Lakers.
Lol Yeah, that's where his head is now. They've pumped him up that much. Now he's mic dropping Don't make it a habit of listening to Stephen A., but I'd definitely go with Stephen A.'s sourcing over a Jalen prediction or sourcing - whatever that was supposed to be. The one thing that worries me is Kawhi going into business with that Toronto based private jet comp
Magic, Kareem, Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, Kawhi... We a history of self involved hollywood drama queens. They make the best basketball players.
I'm not worried about business opportunities there versus here or even Drake offering him shit. I would be worried that the Clips are in a better position personnel wise AND are also in LA than anything else. ALL I WANT is a decision one way or another!!!! :ranting::ranting::ranting:
Can't bring myself to worry about the Clippers. I don't know who you think they have on their team, but we're the ones with LeBron and AD. I like our personnel. There are a billion role players running around this world with rings. Way easier to get those guys in place as opposed to landing the elite stars that truly shift the balance of power. Mario Chalmers is a champion..Udonis Haslem has like 3 or 4 rings. Find these bums anywhere
Speaking of finding role playing bums anywhere..Lakers set to work out Amare Stoudemire and Monta Ellis
Not to mention Kawhi is big on load management. Which do the clippers have to carry them if Kawhi wants to play 60 games a year. Hed have to carry that team himself.
I like my role players signing for the right price. Reggie Bullock getting $10M a year is outrageous and there's more where that came from. Cory Joseph getting $10M a year and on and so forth. Execs were supposed to have learned their lesson from 2016. Not even just role players though..D'angelo getting $120M or whatever it was. Lol
