That game wasn’t very satisfying. I guess we won, but I didn’t feel good about it.

I’m gonna be straight up honest these games aren’t nearly as fun or exciting without fans. Obviously I’m still engaged but man it does not feel the same.

winning a game where the team didn’t look great isn’t necessarily a bad thing imo. Although I do think the pitching was unreal tonight, really only 1 mistake

I expect the Brewers to be better tomorrow on both sides, especially against a lefty since they’re so right handed. But, as we’ve been saying, no excuse to give up lots of runs to that sorry offense

Here's an idea...what about (since he HAS to be in the lineup) DHing Muncy ? I just get leery of him when he is involved in IF play this year...almost like he's waiting to boot one.
Maybe an unfair suggestion, but this is such a terrible year all around for him.

I really do think once we get to the 7 game series’ we’re just so much better than everyone except maybe the Yankees are close. But we’re still better than them. We just gotta win tonight and line the rotation up for the Cards/Padres and then my confidence will be way up.

Interesting, in the post game it sounded like Roberts didn't like what he was seeing out of Jansen. Graterol was up and ready to go last night I guess if anything had happened with Yelich. I wonder if Jansen is a bad outing away from getting the hook.... frustrating that it may take a bad outing IN THE PLAYOFFS to do that.

I think we might see more of, not necessarily a closer swap but perhaps not using Jansen for EVERY save situation. Like on back to backs, might go to someone else the second night. And won’t trust Jansen for more than 3 outs. And, like yesterday, have someone ready

Going to be interesting tonight with Woodruff on the mound. The dudes stuff ticks up immensely in the playoffs and unlike years past, he seems to be in starting pitcher shape. I'm curious to see how they use him as he ramps things up in the playoffs which seems to wear him down quicker. Would guess that they need at least 6 from him tonight after what happened last night and how depleted their staff is.

Given that they already said Barnes is catching today, I assume today’s lineup is the same as yesterday except with Barnes in the 8-9 hole and catching and Smith at DH

I could maybe see them going with Joc over Pollock just to get more left handed, especially since the Brewers don’t have many lefties.

Pollock hit .248/.293/.468 against righties this year and although obviously Joc was worse, I think I have more faith in Joc against a righty with a good fastball compared to Pollock

I think I’d start Joc and see if he can run into one and then insert Pollock later at any time they put a lefty on Joc, but, Joc’s been so bad I could see why you wouldn’t wanna start him at all

I'd prefer Gonzalez as closer #2 option over Graterol. Despite the 100 mph heat, he doesn't miss many bats.

I'm going to file this under "better late than never". I think the velocity last night was particularly concerning, as Kenley was struggling to break 90 mph.

Kenley didn't have much last night, but he induced weak contact for the first two outs and K'ed Yelich for the final out.

His biggest sin (obviously) was walking the PH in front of Yelich. Also might add that if Yelich pulls the trigger on the first pitch of the AB the game might have been tied. That was a BP pitch.

I'm guessing Joc and Barnes replace Pollock and Rios in the lineup.

    RF Betts
    SS Seager
    3B Turner
    1B Muncy
    DH Smith
    CF Bellinger
    2B Taylor
    LF Pederson
    C Barnes

Yelich didn't pull the trigger on the first pitch down the middle, then he swung at a ball 5 feet off the plate. Kenley benefitted from facing the bottom of the order for a sub .500 team, and 2020 Yelich.
