Came to the realization of a chilling possibility...the NL DH may, coming with it's immediate reduction of savvy on field managing skills, and lineup card filling out as peak maneuvering, insure the reign of Dave Roberts for another decade, at least. Or maybe 20 or 30 years... Hmmm.. expect in the near future, ongoing "eliteness"as is the norm with recent LAD seasons, but little or no championships? It's what Davey does, it looks ...
They should have a designated pitcher. Talk about exciting. It could be 1 inning of pure madness. Teams behind can catch up. Teams ahead can put it away early. Scoring galore! Excitement!!!! Isn’t this where all this is headed anyway. Make baseball score like basketball?
Damn fireworks show out my windows while im in the basement watching the missile strikes in iraq gave me a little jump scare. No lie but I got up and had to make sure that those booms i was hearing werent the living version of the nightmare i kept having as a kid after watching red dawn. Like all nightmares its almost a fetish at this point lol.
RIP William Hurt...only 71. Guy was in some damn good films and was never weak in anything I remember him in. Body Heat was one of his best I thought. Damn.
Any art gallery crawlers here ? Trying to get a person-to- person, up close, been there opinion of a couple in LA...
Yes, this is particularly sad...a talent indeed. No matter what their woke, mostly douchey take is on the cultural and political aspect of American society, movies ( Hollywood) and the actors in them do form and shape a portion of our lives, I think. I may be alone on this, but when I read quotes from films ( i.e. The Godfather, Casablanca, ad infinitum) and see clips of scenes which we use to validate and emphasize points we are attempting to make, I think it true they can be very important in the overall scheme of our lives. I guess the movies themselves are separate creations and apart from the core of the Hollywood mind set template, but nevertheless, are borne from within it. I thought Hurt had a unique style, a gentleness in delivery of his lines, but was forceful at the same time. He left his mark, with me anyway.
I'm glad you mentioned him, TB...it's been far too long since he got the credit he deserves. Did you know data shows he is the most quoted person ever to ride a motorized uniped EVER ? Square business... Not to mention being married to that hot little Scientologist...
