you would get along great w my ex i just can't even though i tried i'll try anything and think i've pretty much tried everything including sweet breads and brains, lizards and snakes etc glad you enjoyed this and i know i must be missing out i like marrow but pretty much everything else makes me gag lol
Yeah ,haggis is OK. Edible. Just trying to make a joke. I have eaten a whole range of food in the UK, having been born there, and it's cuisine is far less worse than thought of here ( and maybe the rest of the world). I was fed dishes that became popular ( mostly because of WWII rationing) when I came to the states, since that's what my mom learned and had to cook. But if I had to pick a country's cuisine to be married to for the rest of my life, I'm pretty sure it would be Italy.
Yes, Italian ranks high on my list. But if I could only pick one and had to eat that every day, it would be Greek. A lot of similarities to Italian, but in general less carb-based and less reliant on cheeses, so healthier eating in the long run (think Mediterranean diet). And enough variety to keep it interesting. But then again, that's the country of my ancestral roots, so I may be a bit biased.
i can eat Japanese and Thai for the rest of my life no problem have to have those taste explosions getting to enjoy Filipino food more love good Indian fuck i'm hungry now
japanese is my favorite chinese second, mexican third (racist) i like thai and indian, but not as much as the other three depends on the dish though... kinda like italian can live without german, british, even french used to date a flip girl and she would invite me to family functions a lot of really good food
An old Cruise try to resuscitate that role is the epitome of cheesy (and comes off as a little desperate too).
Great post. I saw a " sneak peak" on the news...info babe told it's being done over, blah, blah...then showed a close up of Cruise now standing next to his jet. Eyelids drooping, somewhat jowly, looking a little bit tired, and she eays " that's right, it's coming back...and Tom Cruise hasn't changed at all". I still don't know if she actually believed it, or was being sarcastic. Val Kilmer has been fighting cancer for a long time, I believe.
He jumped the shark initially when he imitated Brando in" The Island of Dr. Moreau"...it was so bad ( Brando certifiable), but I watch it whenver it's on. Mamet definitely one of my favorites, too. House of Games and Things Change are two offbeat and.intricately crafted stories, never miss them. Just love the dialogue in House of Games. Joe Montegna it his best. Spartan a do not miss film, I agree.
I enjoyed everything written or directed by Mamet. He would take a pedestrian format tv show and turn it into something special. The Unit with all the wife stuff would have been boring or silly like most of the other shows on CBS. Military ops based shows are not easy to pull off. Specially when you have to share the hour with the wives situation at home. Instead of the wives being a stupid sideshow it dealt with the realities of base living and the struggles wives have with the military higher ups when their husbands are deployed. Homicide was the best cop show. In fact whenever Mamet tackles a subject you can look back and see that it went down as the best written movie that tackled the material. Many times it was the first He was the guy behind Always Be Closing. Wag the Dog was a great take on our politics. Untouchables is untouchable. Most of his reality based movies were really good at showing the things in our culture that would become widespread in the future. He has a bunch of these. Mamet got more out of Mantegna and De Niro than even Scorsese. Yet I don't remember ever watching House of Games.
Speaking of Mamet, Kilmer was in one of his films, Spartan, which was actually very good. It also starred a very young Kristen Bell.
