Fuck ESPN. dodgers lose so on the scroll it says "Puig gets caught twice". And they show a hit and run with a short fly ball to Vic in RF and he easily doubles off Puig. Fucking Linda Cohn or whatever says "Puig was unable to get back to first on the hit and run, what happened there?" And they didn't even bother showing the other time he got "caught". Trying to shove their narrative down people's throats.

 

During the game today, Ken Rosenthal said something along the lines of "Now the sabermetric community argues that things like missing the cut off man don't matter", it was complete bullshit. No one has ever said missing the cut off man and getting picked off first "doesn't matter", the point was simply that it's not worth benching him over. They just needed to feed their narrative so they lied. It's nonsense.

 

Didn't get to see any of this game today...which pisses me off but TIA owns my ass right now. I see Ryu gives up 4 runs in the 1st inning. That puts him on the "suspect" list in my opinion with further evaluation to come. Boston is fighting for a playoff spot so maybe I'm being too critical of Ryu.....and he does own a 12-5 record this year. He also got 0 run support so maybe I am over reacting a bit. I also see the bullpen gave up 0 runs and Mormol continues to lower that ERA that's in low earth orbit and Paco lowers his to 1.91, as he continues to raise eyebrows I'm sure. So despite the loss there are some positives.

I haven't watched anything besides live sports (little league baseball) since it launched.

 

Haven't watched it. But the comments from the creators don't give me much hope (they said they wanted to be less stats oriented than ESPN). That doesn't appeal to me. They also had like a football player, tennis player and another sport talk about ichiros 4000 hit. How is that reputable?

I hate Hairston no matter, I like him as a bench player, but he starts far too often for my liking, which is more Don's fault, but yeah

 

Is it Don's fault of Ned's? I'd blame Ned...look at this team he's assembled, full of injury prone veterans. Hairston rarely starts nowadays, and wouldn't if VanSlyke was here still.
But on the other hand you have to play your bench guys to keep them somewhat sharp too.
