Go back and read it again, read blazer's post that mine was in response to... the post was about his last season...as a Dodger. The ckocksucker hit .259 in August...with ONE walk against 21 K's. He walked 27 times in the first half vs. 4 times in the second half. He declined. In the first half he was 43/9 in stolen bases. In the second half he was 21/10. He declined for the 3rd year in a row after the break. Given that knowledge, I'd trade his beulimic ass again today.

You clearly thought I was talking about last season, and I wasn't. I'll give you that. If he tears it up again this season then I'll say, "well fuck me, I was wrong". But until he does I'll say, "the jury is still out."

I'm not throwing shade or spreading mis-information, and I don't actually dislike him. I'm just saying he had one fantastic season but the question remains, can he do it again? If he returns to being the player he was for the Dodgers, is he worth that shiny new 5/$50 million contract?

    adrian beltre
Had a monster year for dodgers in 04.
All star. Big numbers. Gold glove. Mpv votes.
    Just like Dee.
Never again did he reach that height.
Had some less than stellar seasons actually.
But most years he was a great asset to have at 3b and in the heart of the order.
For the mariners and rangers of course. We didnt think he would ever be as good as he was with us in 04.
It was a fluke said many.
    And it was.
    So?
I love the way adrian beltre plays baseball.
Even at 37 years old i would start him at 3b.

And was there ever anybody who was more "Dodger" than him? We signed him when he was in his mid teens, and got a penalty of sort for doing so, didn't we?

The only thing similar about Beltre and Dee are that they both used to be Dodgers.

WOW you must really like Dee.July was really his only weak avg month but you too are spreading misinformation . It was nearly a 7 week period(almost 2 months) where dee was batting 240-260 from late june to early august.. so it really wasnt just because of the thumb injury(i was tracking and hating his every move lol) .. But it did contribute. Ill say this tho. He had a heck of a season. Baseball reference had him a total of 57 infield hits 1/4th of his hits.As he passes his prime years his speed will decline and he will become, well basically be useless a 260-270 hitter getting on base 290-300 of the time. While getting thrown out 20+ times a year stealing.Hes a one trick pony and his one trick ages quickly

Ps hes off to a slow start this year

Whose to say he doesnt have another trick up his sleeve?
Like a flashy pitcher who won close to 20 games as a rook for KC and then became an all star reliever racking up almost 50 saves 10 years later for boston.

    He's roight, ya'know.

B*nds as his hitting coach...he could learn to roid up, get a bigger hat size, and start dropping bombs all over Miami...
